Re: Ups & Downs 2018/19

How did Warnock think going onto Sky Sports yesterday and slagging off refs was going to be in anyway beneficial?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (h) sponsored by the only way is up

Should sign this chap up http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/a/201803/31/WS5abf041ba3105cdcf6515815.html Wonder where the contact with him was - our owners? Not a chance he would come here or that we could afford him and his team of eight Santos said he left Zenit in 2016 after SIPG shelled out $1.3 milli...

Re: Racism in football (John Terry spin-off)

I find the idea of punishing clubs potentially for the acts of a few individuals, who may or may not have any serious connection to the club and they have no hope of controlling deeply uncomfortable. I do kind of agree and get where you're coming from but the problem is as we've seen over the years...

Does however give Warnock another handy excuse as to why its not his fault he can't keep a club in the top division.

Re: Emiliano Sala

Much as I dislike Warnock and post editing. Its not him being the pcunt here is it. He obviously thought the signing had gone through. Its the owners that are being twats.

From Despair To Where? Cardiff as a club were talking about him being their player right up to the point the invoice arrived.

Corrected for myself.

Re: Racism in football (John Terry spin-off)

For internationals: 1st offence - Stadium ban (for the rest of whichever competition is ongoing, so even if its a friendly it would affect Euro/World Cup qualifying) and large fine. 2nd offence - Disqualification from the competition and massive fine. 3rd offence - Disqualification from the next 5 c...

Re: England - the future....

Its easier for Southgate to get Sancho and Hudson-Ohio meaningful playing time than it would be for Foden. So Foden probably is better off getting full matches for the U21s.

Re: England - the future....

I know Foxy and I have gone on about ITV, and in particular Tyledesley's commentaries, in the past but he is worse than ever tonight by hyping this team so much when they are playing the equivalent of Bristol City. Tyledesley was at his most annoying last night. Hudson Odoi went from being the grea...

Re: Emiliano Sala

If what Cardiff are claiming is true and he wasn't registered with FAW they may not have any insurance for Sala as he wasn't their player. Of course Nantes may not have insurance either if he was no longer registered with LdFP as their player. Seems somewhat dubious as Cardiff were quite clearly tal...

Re: BFTG Leeds Home

 Yiadom was superb. Could only watch the first half but did nobody else think it was a bit worrying that the right back was often the furthest player forward when Leeds were quite easily getting the ball back and happily passing straight through our midfield. Its ok when you're chasing a gam...

Re: More rule fiddling

Why have they decided on a 1m exclusion when everything in football is measured in yards? Don't really have a problem with that change, having the attacking player stood 1m in front or behind still allows them to block the keeper's view and takes away any of the pushing incidents.

Didn't the rule used to be that if it hit your hand/arm it was handball whether it was deliberate or not? The whole deliberate/unnatural position is a recentish thing.

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Yeah, he'll take the job whether its offered to him now or in May. They're best off waiting to see whether they finish top four or not and who else is available at the end of the season. S'Alex is perfectly capable of offering them advice on which players they ought to be looking at signing/letting ...

Re: Have Reading ever had a player like a "Pogba B"

We appear to have had plenty of midfielders in the last few seasons decide they won't bother putting in decent performance for a manager, so yes we've had a few Pogbas.
