Re: The generic transfer thread

Mooy to Hudds for £8M That's a lot of money for them to spend and not actually improve their squad. He was their main man last year when on loan. If they didn't sign him their squad would've been significantly weaker and its a signing with no real risk as they know exactly what they're signing. The...

Or maybe, just maybe, he's gone there as backup as they sold Begovic to Bournemouth.

Bloke on the left has either enjoyed the post-season buffet a bit too much or urgently needs that hernia sorted out.

Nice shirts but the sponsor's logo placement makes it look a bit sunday league and sponsored by the local Chinese restaurant.

I think its just because I'm getting old and can remember when anything over £1M was a big deal.

Re: The generic transfer thread

I think a lot of clubs are just happy to push through deals for good prospects. Hes young (24 is young right?), home-grown, talented and has a good re-sale value. Liverpool probably figured 4.5 million is the most they can ask for while still sounding reasonable and probably attached some sell-on c...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Seems like you have to pay a £3M premium for any player that's come through a premier league club's academy even if their career appears to have totally stalled/never got going in the first place. £1-1.5M maybe but £4.5M is a nonsense.

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

Liverpool were on TV more than anyone else. So basically they had the same coverage as Chelsea other than the extra game on the last day of the season when there's was a game that still had something riding on it. :| Guess its all down to how many viewers they'll get for certain teams but the drop ...

Re: Tag yourself at Wembley.

Fair play to the photographer, its not easy to capture the Wembley atmosphere in a photo but he's nailed there with both sets of fans looking bored. Our row has a collective look of "why didn't we stay in the pub".

Re: BFTG - Wembley

Unlike Danny from Huddersfield, Steve from Reading is clearly a very fit guy and, with a calm heart rate like that, should probably have taken one of our last two penalties! Anyone care to explain who Danny and Steve are? On the big screens they sporadically showed the heart rate of four fans (two ...

What about the integrity of the game Kes? Pretty sure its his teammates giving him a big send off so he can't change his mind and try and hang around next season. I'd say the comments I've seen in the media about Terry offering West Ham players a night out if they beat Spurs and Matic saying the sa...
