Manset

Was wondering what had happened to him, so looked up his wiki page ... does he break the record for number of contracts 'terminated'?

Doesn’t matter to a certain extent. I’d take brum winning and Bolton and Barnsley losing all day long if we lose (and we are going to)

Bolton’s form is abysmal. They won’t win their next two.

If we lose our remaining games they'd just need a win and a draw to overtake us.

New manager, new fight ... they've looked pretty decent under Monk, whereas we've continued to look crap but still somehow picked up 2 wins. We just have to hope Barnsley and Bolton continue losing.

Re: Nicky Hammond Leaves WBA

I'd have squeaky back. He got us some great deals for players who weren't that good. He got us a legendary £3m for Blackman, getting £2.5m on Halford and nearly £5m on Matt Mills. He wasn't perfect but played a big part in the most successful time the club has had. But that might not reflect him be...

Re: Relegation Watch

Given our far superior goal difference this means that even if we lose all our remaining games, Birmingham would need to get more than 1 win from their last 3 games. If we win one of our 3, we are basically safe as you can't see B'ham getting more than 2 wins.

Re: The Secret Footballer .... Again

The BBC currently has an article about the 'Secret Footballer' which is interesting - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43680519 . It seems he is thinking of 'outing' himself before someone else does and I'm sure most of us would be surprised if it were other than our own Dave Kitson. Apparently ...

Reminds me of how useless Billy Sharpe was on loan with us ... but has been really good with Sheffield United last 2 seasons. BS also looked fat and slow.

Re: Relegation Watch

I have Reading on 43 with Barnsley on 39. It’s obviously going to be very close even though Clement appeared to have caused a slight improvement in our defending. In fact I think the defence is looking slightly more robust; shame about the midfield which to a man are all underperforming badly and n...

Re: Next Season's Squad

I’ve been wondering a bit this season whether our “injuries” are down to players have appearance related clauses either in their transfers or their own contracts. And because we are allegedly short of cash then players are not being Picked? Bacuna springs to mind, possibly Mannone and Edwards. Well...

My biggest disappointment that this is the first time in recent times in which Jimmy Kebe is not one of the possible candidates on the betting sites. What has the world come to?

Re: who do you want as the new manager

Sounds to me like an upgrade on Stam - question is whether a sufficient upgrade. The hope is that unlike Stam he has got more experience under his belt and will avoid the same mistakes. Anyway, I'm not about to cancel my Judas bet on Reading relegation ... although I think there is now a chance we w...
