Re: Slavisa Jokanovic

I'm not a Reading fan, but I come in peace :D . I am from Serbia and I am a big fan of Jokanovic. Media here in Serbia are now reporting that he is set to join your club, so I wanted to tell you what you should expect from him, if he indeed comes to your club. 1. He always started the season slowly...

Re: New Manager

Odds for Slavisa Jokanovic fascinates me because at 20/1 seems an outsider but that is exactly who we should be going for. Excellent track record, rescued teams, promoted teams, knows the league, exciting football and is available. Its a no brainer. Reading FC - what are you doing? Get this done an...

Re: New Manager

I think parky would do a decent, if not particularly inspiring job I’d back him to get a bit of spirit going and sort out the short term issues. Can’t see our mid term ambition being any higher than mid table with him in charge though Would see him as a bit of a Pardew type - motivator but a bit la...

Re: Clement

The context is though that Clement was clearly given a rather limited budget to fill the gaps and I think has done OKish ... signed a few frees and somehow turned Meite into a striker. Others signings have been flops but that happens when you have limited budget ... I do think that another manager C...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

Made hard work of beating the worst team I have seen at the Mad Stad this season. I thought we still struggled defensively. Having said that O Shea looks better that Tiago A few shaky moments but it would have been a travesty if we hadn't won that. Onwards and upwards URZZ What even worse than Hull?

Moore booked Bod should be fit for Brum though may only be on the bench Walker has a knee injury while Mannone has been back in training but still feels his ankle isn’t quite right Edwards, Popa, Eza, Obita, Richards, O’Shea are injured while Pelle is still missing presumed injured. O’Shea should b...

Re: Will going down be a bad thing? poll added.

list all the clubs for the last twenty years or so (since football began in '92) and how they have fared following relegation. If it's positive then cool but i have a feeling it's overwhelmingly negative Just can't see it being a good thing - going down is absolutely no guarantee that it will be an...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

Yeah but you're going further than that ... you're being overly negative. Why not support or at least tolerate this initiative? I'd be very happy if it works - so far it hasn't ... but if it does surely all of us will benefit from it?

Only got 1 - thought all our players were English and am now returning my ST in protest at letting all these foreigners into our country! We need to regain control of our football club! Take back control!

Re: Clement In/Out...latest poll

I'm still 'In' - not good for the club to constantly sack managers so we should stick with him for now. But disagree with those who think that it is not partially his fault - a different manager could definitely be doing a lot better with this squad than he is. Let's hope he can learn from his mista...

Re: BFTG - Preston

I've not been able to go to matches for a while so haven't seen Reading play for a while but just curious if everyone agrees that Aluko is a waste of space or are there those who disagree but keep quiet on here? I just find it strange that everyone is so negative about him yet the manager obviously ...

Re: Gourlay

I think the injury theory is a bit of a myth ... other clubs have horendous injury lists and it's not down to any particular reason, just bad luck. I really don't think that in this day and age, it's anything other than that. So asking the question might make you look like a bit of a conspiracy theo...

Re: Gourlay

I actually think the signings this transfer window have been reasonable given rather limited resources .... Clement clearly wasn't given a large war chest and has had to quite a bit of wheeling and dealing to get in players to fill the gaps. And can't really blame him for not getting rid of dross - ...
