Re: CONFIMRED - Leandro Bacuna

Actually the Villa forum gives a bit of a mixed picture - a lot saying 'This is the best day of my life' type of posts ... but others much more balanced and saying that he was damaged by Villa and they expect him to be really quite good in a proper set-up.

Re: CONFIMRED - Leandro Bacuna

Back to the topic of this thread - check this out (copied from the Villa forum on Bacuna) - three things stand out for me: a) he looks genuinely two-footed b) he can score free-kicks c) he will rival JVDB in clanger of the season competition Something captivated me about him when he first signed, I ...

Some Burnley fan who is supposedly ITK on that there Twitter, thinks it is between us and them for Long. Supposedly agreed terms with Burnley but wants to speak to us as we have shown interest due to strong family ties and would like to come back if possible. Obviously complete bollocks you would t...

Re: Rumour - Leandro Bacuna

Decent signing I reckon and should have a good grasp of Stam's philosophy. Just hope he gets his head down. As much as we all want to see a striker come in, it's not always easy to get your top transfer target and sometimes it pays to be patient. Liam Moore is the best example of that. Let's wait t...

Re: Rumour - Naki wells

No chance will he come on 50k a week! That will be over double our highest earner now plus he will not be on anything near that at Huddersfield. We are better letting this one draw out towards the deadline, he will not make the Huddersfield 25 man squad and will pick him up for around 4-6 million i...

Re: Rumour - Ross McCormack

READING FC boss Jaap Stam wants to hijack Sunderland's bid to sign Aston Villa flop Ross McCormack, according to reports. Villa boss Steve Bruce is understood to be keen on ousting McCormack from Villa Park less than 12 months after his £12m move from Fulham. The 30-year-old failed to settle into l...

Re: Transfer fees out of control

As CR said, look at all our comparative big signings: Lita, Halford, Fae, Bikey, Mills, Vydra, Seol, etc etc etc. How many of them have been better than Ok? It's oxf*rd all. All our most impactful signings have been comparatively cheap or home grown. Are you seriously suggesting Lita was not better...

Brentford are my dark horses for next season - expect them to go up or at least be in for a shout at top six.

Re: CONFIMRED - Lewis Grabban

Having seen quite a bit of him over the years I was pleased when we signed him on loan last season. Unfortunately I feel that he is not the player that he was even if we did use him too often as a winger. What I didn't like was that when the ball was played up to him it invariably didn't stick and ...
