Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Is anyone actually against us signing Martin? If he comes here in the right frame of mind he would be a very good addition. It will freshen up our attack line, boost the confidence of wingers that some one might actually be in the box if they cross it. The list is endless of positives. One negative...

Re: Jimmy Kebe - Free agent

I think that last injury hit season he had with us finished him. Loved him so much. Unplayable on his day. Just a shame that day was one in 10. The most frustrating player I have seen for Reading. Like you said, unplayable on his day, but when it wasn't his day, bought hardly anything to the team. ...

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Stam confrimed interest in him after the game... Really? That would suggest he is an active contributor to Hob Nob, otherwise surely he'd have confirmed interest like everyone else?! :D Right, let's all try to work out which nobber he is. My vote goes to strap . Similar name. And he's ultra-critica...

Re: Starting XI

Is there ANYONE who disagrees with the following? -Bodvarsson must start -Richards must start -On form, Illori and Moore are he best two centre backs -Bacuna must start, and preferably in central midfield -Popa deserves a start -Barrow is a shoe-in on the left of the front 3 -Mannone is our best ke...

Re: In or Out? New poll.

Yeah agree - very depressing. My interest in the team is at its lowest for many years .... obviously want them to win, but am a lot less bothered than I used to be.

Re: In or Out? New poll.

This is about Stan and his fitness for office. What we need to remember is that if we had beaten Burton, Bristol City, Birmingham, Stevenage, Barnsley and Hull then we'd all be up Stam/Stan's arsehole right now. Yeah but we didn't. Anyway ... I'm swinging back to IN ... because the longer we wait, ...

Re: In or Out? New poll.

There's a massive thread on TSF, find it and read it you lazy cretin. Or read the books. Agreed - double d just read the bloody thread. It's unmistakable ... clear references to players such as Bikey, Doyle, Shorey, etc. and also stories of clubs he played for, like signing for Sheffield United whe...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Mr William Whitehurst

Eh, I'm not as fussed as other people on this match thread seem to be, yes it sounded quite dull with Hull more determined to get the win, but they were the home team and currently in a more perilous position. We're low on confidence right now so there's going to be a bit of hesitation in the play....

Re: In or Out? New poll.

I get the feeling it's mostly Kitson with some stories of other footballers thrown in to try and disguise his identity. Yeah totally ... even though it is no friends Dave, he obviously must have some other friends who were in the game who add the odd anecdote to make it not completely obvious that ...

How anyone can not know it's Kitson is unbelievable. I mean who else? It's an 'open' secret.

Re: Speculation - Tom Bradshaw

Roughly 1 goal in every 4 league games at Barnsley, did have a stand out 2 years at Walsall though, where his strike rate was almost 1 in every 2. 11 in 29 this year I think (inc cup) Which is pretty good in a rubbish team. They seem to quite like him on their forums Barnsley have new owners now do...

Re: Thank You Stam

Most fans would accept the tactics if we won most games ... it's the combination of losing and watching such a boring style that's untenable.

Our poor pampered players wouldn't know what hit em.

The worst cliche of old time - players play badly because they've been 'pampered'. I think what they need is some things thrown at them and some motivational booing by the fans.

Re: Could Stam be contracted to his current style of play?

Every time he goes direct the next game it’s the same old same old, so I am just starting to think he’s been told to make his team to do that style of play. I seem to remember Tevreden stressing that he wanted a possession based style in summer 2016, so perhaps the board are causing much more troub...

Re: In or Out? New poll.

A good run of results in one season does not make a good manager - remember Ian Dowie ... he had that one season and that was it. I suspect JS will go the same way. Think he's a lousy manager and will fail wherever he goes.
