Re: My first rumour report. Things not well at Reading.

Honest question here but what is the actual evidence of regression across all areas of the club since the change of CEO? On the pitch is quite self explanatory given last season and the lacklustre performances this season (last two Saturdays aside). Commercially we are haemorrhaging fans. Whilst th...

Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

+1 I am always amazed to see people say this about JVDB, he got 1 red card for us, and 19 yellows. In a 65 game span, I don't that is too bad, considering the role he played for us. And even that red was a second booking taking one for the team with the oppo through on goal IIRC. Ye but he was the ...

Re: How long does Clement have?

It seems right now we're still living with this fairyland idea that we need a couple of tweaks to be promotion candidates and so are totally getting the wrong staff in. Hopefully few supporters are that deluded. Agreed. But part of me wonders if the owners are. I can just imagine they are hiding ab...

Re: How long does Clement have?

I honestly really never entertained the idea of Clement going until now. Regardless of the club being a shambles, Gourlay, finances etc etc he does have some responsibility. To do shit last season (honeymoon performances kept us up) shit in preseason and shit this season you have to be shit, or at l...

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

It doesn't take a huge amount of time to work it out just looking at the who scored / soccerbase match reports if you're interested. Interesting stat, good work. In the first half I was thinking yes he's got to be shit because we're doing so well without him. Then it all screwed up and I think both...

Re: BFTG West Brom

Good post. Absolutely fully agreed on Southwood and Loader. They may be young but so what they cannot be worse than what we already have. Why on earth did we give Jaakkola another year? McNulty doesn’t look up to it and why was Meite kept at the club and Novakovich loaned out again? Meite only has ...

Re: BFTG West Brom

Just seen highlights.

Walker should never play for the club again.

First goal was ridiculous.

Third goal why the hell didn't he come out. Even a little?

I'm done with him.

Mannone isn't brilliant but at least he's not awful.

Re: BFTG West Brom

I've said it before and I'll say it again.

The moment we started saying Blackett is a good option is the moment I realised we're screwed.

This is how low we've stooped.

[POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

He seems to be everyone's favourite scapegoat and part of me wonders if it's because of his transfer fee and another part of me wonders if he is actually that bad. I remember we had similar thoughts about Kebe, who was a similar sort of player. Hang around looking shit and lazy but then just burst i...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Stop bashing Clement! Can't you see he's trying to get the best out of Aluko?? He'll shine in League 1! Seriously though I'm on the fence with Clement. On one hand he's likeable and thoroughly honest, possibly the most honest manager we've ever had even moreso than Stam. On the other hand honesty do...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Ok, a poor match partly down to poor luck with the injuries and we know we are lacking in the striker department. And partly down to team selection (Aluko).

Boos deserved.

But to be fair over the last few games we've really improved and this was one step back after two steps forwards.

Re: Where have the hardcore gone? Culture loss.

Ok I started chants on the Southbank. When we went to madstad our culture was lost. I was one of the chantstarters on thr East Stand in the middle. We were the loudest. We were the left side if the stand. Then the middle. The biggest loss of culture was reserved seating which screwed it all up for e...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

I've noticed a few people complain about Aluko bottling a 50-50 challenge in the build up to their first goal. Not noticed anyone mention the fact he then made literally no effort to pick up his man and get goalside until he'd received the ball, and then narrowly avoided giving away a penalty by pu...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

If we needed a fantastic athlete I'm sure Daley Thompson would have got a run out by now. Gunter is negative and slows our play down massively. Yiadom and Blackett were about our only positives in this shower of shite season and poor Tyler Blackett who is in the best form he has been for us is rewa...

Re: Clement

It`s repetitive theme isn't it, we`ve heard it all before Adkins OUT. Clarke OUT. Stam OUT, and now Clement OUT. (like the cap lock is going to make a difference) It`s really done us a would of difference when the others have been shown the door hasn`t it? 17th 19th 3rd and 20th. Why do people thin...

Re: Clement

I was thinking of starting a similar poll but decided it would just be kneejerk bullshit. Performances have improved a little and there's every chance things will pick up. Having said that it's not surprising the question is being asked given he's had a few games at the end of last season, which wer...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

The positives: 1. Still only a 1 goal loss. Shows we still do have something about us. We can fight. 2. Clement had the balls to make a triple substitution and it worked to a degree. Sends a message. Unlike Stam he definitely has the balls to be quite firm with players dropping them if they are shi...
