Re: 1993-1995 vs 2005-2007

I enjoyed the Coppell stuff, but I would happily donate a kidney to enjoy football the way I enjoyed it in 1993-95. Having said that, both seem like a different era compared to paying £30 for the privilege of watching 11 faceless, Ferrari driving 22 year olds stroll about with gloves on moaning at e...

John Arlott. Used to cycle to Elm Park & back from Basingstoke Came in to say this ^^^ Nicholas Hoult (the one that was hammering Lawrence when she did the fappening stuff) is a Reading fan. Garfy from Birds of a Feather and sometime keyboardist of The Levellers also goes to the occasional game.

Don't give a shit what happens to Clarke. In football terms he's made a mistake and upset the wrong people, probably, reading the thin runes emanating from the club.

Re: Funniest chant heard?

.... one fond Elm Pk memory associated with one of our erstwhile Scottish Managers #IP RIP# who'd overindulged on a night out and I believe was temporarily w/o his driving licence ... cue home fans chanting sympathetically ... "Ian, Ian give us a lift" .... and "Ian, Ian show us your...

Re: Cilla Black

To all the Reading fans who lead the excellent singing in the East Stand, can I please make a humble plea. I know that for many years, there has been a song linking Sir John with Cilla Black but I see from the BBC news today that she has died today at the age of 72. Can we please show some respect ...

Re: In praise of Reading

With all the doom and gloom about at the moment thought I would add this 1. we have a fantastic ground with great facilities 2. We have a great training ground with first class facilities for the players. They are well looked after with first class food and relaxation. These are about to get even b...

Re: Anton To Face Fans Backlash?

AFAIK AZ has never met STAR since his takeover despite numerous requests perhaps because he did not want to answer some specific questions on what exactly the takeover would mean for RFC (or politely stonewall some obvious questions so you could draw your own conclusions). I imagine he is quaking i...

Re: Did you leave early?

I left after 25 minutes on Sunday and watched the rest of the game on TV in the hotel with a Guinness and a couple of rum and cokes.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it.
