If Yann is back that quick it is impressive. Was reported as new year at beginning of season. Good turn around for an old man.

Re: Charlie Watts - great journo

nah that was McCleary. Yann got injured in a very early pre season training session You sure? I thought Yaan had hip & groin surgery? Yann apparently went sliding in during pre-season training and his leg got caught, ripping the muscle/ligaments. Thus the operation. This was mentioned by Stam o...

Re: BFTG - Hull

If anyone is unconvinced by Berg being at Centreback for large swathes of the game, have a look at his heat map on whoscored and compare it to McShane for example. Or.. they could have used their eyes while watching the game.. I didn't know who scored did heat maps. That's really quite useful. Well...

Re: BFTG - Hull

I don't agree the Kelly - Ilori swap was a formation change sub. We went from three centre backs, two wing backs and two midfielders (McShane, Moore, Berg - Gunter, Obita - Edwards, Kelly) to three actual centre backs, two wing backs and two midfielders (McShane, Moore, Ilori - Gunter, Obita - Berg...

Probably around 30-40 minutes from Paddington to London Bridge, and then a further 10 or so from London Bridge to South Bermondsey.

IMO if you can get to Reading station for 6 at the latest you can make it across to the game in time.

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

Another one of those that thinks because the revenue stream is bigger than gate receipts, the fans are unimportant. Good luck having any sort of revenue stream (and attracting players) for a team with a handful of fans Nope but we traditionally have a small fan base. I don't think the owners purcha...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

You know the way he wants us to play, if you don't like it, don't go. The owners aren't going to be happy wih declining revenues as footfall decreases. The poor away attendance suggests that the issue isn't just related to Reading. Continental style football perhaps isn't going down too well. Very ...

Re: BFTG - Hull

Yesterday Stam set us up wrong from the start. Playing with no target man/striker at home is always going to cause us issues as the pressure would never be relieved. We set up like we should away from home, to counter attack and get in behind with pace (unfortunately Beerens has none, and GMac is cl...

15 goals is a great return for a striker who cost 3m in this era... How many strikers scored over 15 last season in the Championship?

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

The window for playing multiple inexperienced youngsters is incredibly slim in this insanely competitive division. When you have nothing really to aim for and either no fear of going down, or expecting to go down so there's nothing to lose. Or when you're 2-3 goals to the good with 10 - 20 minutes ...

It's not difficult to understand that our attack is needing a bit of time to gel together. It'll come good. If we beat Hull (I think we will) optimism will soon return. One note on Blackett; I thought he had done quite well in recent games. Was he really as bad yesterday as some people are making o...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

It's all irrelevant anyway, Stam isn't interested in our Academy or the players it produces, he showed that in the summer when he released or sold almost all of our most promising youngsters (obvious exception being Kelly but even Stam couldn't ignore his burgeoning talent). He wants to tap into ou...

Not be fussed, the bloke is irrelevant to my life - more than open about who I am. A lot of people from HNA know me already anyway.

Some weird thinly veiled sexist nonsense implying I know nothing about football because my forum post was a bit clunky? Fckin christ. Don't be so precious. Netball is a simpler sport to understand, there is no suggestion it is a sport assigned to any gender. Nor do I know what you identify as. :lol...

Re: Away day travel

It's not often I'll give Reading supporters credit - but one they are due is that as a group they've probably not got the highest propensity in the league to travel by coach. Quite the opposite, I would think. You've got a hardcore of the thermos and sandwich brigade but I think they're well enough...
