Re: BFTG - Fulham

Wonderful night, the sort that lives with you forever My MOM would be Ilori. Barely played all season and slotted in to a high pressure game like he was an ever present. Barely put a foot wrong all game Had a little dodgy spell towards the end of the first half, but other than that, yeah I'd agree ...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

BBC RB were loving it last night and this morning, but i can't help think why release this news at the time they did? We're all happy to off to Wembley, release the news so as not to get a negative reaction. I'm suspicious. Fukks sake, Last night we got to the Championship playoff final which could...

Re: Who do we want, then?

Watched the first leg, Huddersfield considerably the better footballing team and that was in line with every time I've seen either club during the season - therefore logically I'd give us more chance of beating Wednesday and would thus rather they won tonight. However, there's a part of me that thin...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Big shout out to Jaap for the change of shape after 70 mins, completely nullified them for the last quarter of the game and they were reduced to long shots and hoofing it into the box mostly

You're really getting annoyed by having to get to the ground a whole 15 minutes earlier?

Tbf to Sut the 15 mins makes a surprising amount of difference to the traffic

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Gonna have to change my AV now :(

Thought Tanner had the talent to make it, but couldn't hold down a starting spot in League Two which at his age probably tells you enough.

AAH

Gunter
Moore
McShane
Blackett
Obita

Swift
VDB
Williams

Kermie
Grabban

Would be harsh on Kelly, but I think we need VDB and Williams both in the middle to negate Fulham and Swift feels like more of a big game player to me. Always likely to do something special.

Re: Huddersfield (a)

Applaud those who make the effort, and bemoan the FL for arranging 400 mile round journeys for Tuesday nights, for sure It was meant to be last Saturday TBF Ah yes, and a late rearrangement makes it even harder for those with jobs to book holiday in advance so they can make it to the game. Good poi...

Re: Huddersfield (a)

Indeed - and dare I say most Reading fans are more likely to have white-collar, Monday-Friday, 9-5 jobs that make journeying up to Huddersfield for a 7.45 k/o and then be back in work at 9am the next day challenging/impossible. I don't think any fan who falls into the above category should be called...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Contrary to some opinions above I thought Mutch was very good and looks a strong addition to the midfield. In contrast, despite his goal, Swift was poor and got beaten far too many times in the middle of the park which contributed to our openness. Blackett is an awful footballer, I can't really say ...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Nigel Howe cam over and gave him a warm handshake a few minutes ago and now they've disappeared off together.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if he's involved in a separate takeover bid and tbh for me this points towards the Chinese deal being dead in the water

Re: The Next Nine

Barnsley are only 2nd to Newcastle in the form guide for the last 8 away games with 5 wins. so that if far from a walk in the park. Their away wins haven't been overly impressive though, they tend to fall short against teams in the higher places. And they've lost 3 of their better players during Jan

The fact he was playing in Holland while Brian & Jaap were out there probably adds a bit of credence to the rumour.
