Re: Manchester Utd (a) - FA Cup

Hopefully this will help fans warm to our owners. Despite their long silences I have a feeling that they do care about the club and want it to be successful for the fans. Boyd Butler rang BBCRB after one of the games a couple of weeks back and was stressing the need for the club to do things to enga...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

Once again we didn't have a shot on target ,we were playing at home and a team that should be battling to get out of the bottom 3. They gave us a chance by not starting their best creative player Duffy and of course there is always Billy Sharp. Watching Norwood it made me wonder why we didn't renew...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

What actually is our style? There's nothing to our team, there's no identity, Clement was slowly beginning to build one, and there we go and sack him. How long did he want to develop a style??!! I would suggest that was one of the reasons he was sacked. He wasn't developing a clear style, he kept o...

Re: New Manager

I`m with Ian on this, so called bad manager the hordes of brain deads on social media howling for change. like by magic everything will come good at the drop of a hat. the last 5 managers haven`t done it, why the hell should anyone new be any different? It has been without a doubt better than when ...

Re: Clement sacked!

THe club have addressed the problem. They removed Gourlay, installed Howe and then Howe disposed of Gourlay's remaining influence at the club in Paul Clement. They have clearly identified the issue and we have to trust them. yup....We need fresh heads now to move forward. Were we progressing under ...

Re: Clement sacked!

I'm staggered at some of the excuses being wheeled out for Clement's dismal performance as manager with us (record speaks for itself and is significantly worse than those in his other two roles as manager, which weren't great themselves). Most astounding is the 'It was Gourlay's fault/Gourlay's inte...

He's your bread and butter type manager.

I like his approach as a manager but doesn't he get his teams playing Stam style football?

Re: Clement sacked!

Wrong decision IMO as inherited bloated and injured squad and has never even had the likes of Obita or Harriott to select. Paying for previous poor acquisitions. Only major gripe was that he couldn't wake the squad up from the Stam tedium into any sort of an attacking unit. List of usual suspects b...

Re: Are we really going down this season

So basically we should sack the manager because he inherited an underperformimg squad bereft of confidence? No we should sack him because from day one he has continued to make the situation worse and shows no sign of turning things around. He has been allowed to sign players and has done a pretty c...

How far is your tongue in your cheek........... :? Shrugs shoulders. What serious mistakes did he make? Turning up? And that comment says everything about the idiotic Gunter critics. Sod all to support their criticism and even if they were to give examples it would probably be pretty easy to show t...

Re: BFTG - Stokies

The usual scapegoating ^ Decent enough game from him today...but if you are ‘that way inclined’ probably not. Exactly this. I wonder what level coaching expertise and/or experience of being coached properly many of them have. Far too often Gunter is doing his job properly but is let down by ...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Unfortunately it wasn't a one-off and I'll just say about Gunter:- For a player with trillions of record-breaking international caps how come:- He doesn't he know how to take a throw-in? (penalised for a foul throw) Why does he always throw himself to the floor to try and get a free-kick (found out...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Oh and also the sky commentators may as well have been Leeds players. They praised every tiny thing they did. At one point Rinomhota made a fantastic charging run forward and all the said was "and reading bring the ball forward"... They probably added "I wonder how Leeds will score f...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Leeds United (a) sponsored by Eric Nixon in goal

oxf*rd you Chris Gunter and any absolute wet wipe who defends him. If he was a horse he'd be shot in the head for being continually lame. Harsh. He is a club legend and always puts 100% in. Please be aware he reads this site and gets upset with comments like that. I suspect he just asks himself wha...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Back from the TV. Was expecting a tonking and TBF the team put in a solid shift, But as usual after a promising first half right from the kick off we are on the back foot and nearly conceded in the first minute. Leeds were much quicker, passed the ball faster and we just kept giving it back. Only a...

Re: BFTG Leeds

Where to start with that. Turned up at Elland Road not expecting much and expecting to be blown away by a high-tempo Leeds team - and we weren't. Didn't think they really posed a threat in the first half, their dive in the box was embarrassing, Roofe was arguably the danger but thought we handled h...
