Re: Relegation Watch

I was chatting to Keith Wyness, of all people, last night and he seemed confident that we wouldn't go down. I just don't think I could cope with getting relegated by a Warnock-managed Cardiff. I guess with the playoff situation, its likely to be on telly as well. http://i68.tinypic.com/2rlzoch.jpg ...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

How on earth are we comfortably safe? There is absolutely no chance that Bolton AND Birmingham will both get 4 points from their last 3 games AND Barnsley will get 5 points from their last 4. The players could go to the beach for the next 3 winnable games and we would be fine. Birmingham: Wolves (a...

Re: South Stand Singers For Sunderland (H)

Nobody heard them. The North Stand drummer completely drowned them out. As it should be too! They also stopped singing when we went 2-1 down which really is cracking support eh??? But none of this is really true is it?! Not long ago people were moaning about the drummer. Now they're praising the dr...

Great noise again from the South Stand. Keep it going! Nobody heard them. The North Stand drummer completely drowned them out. As it should be too! Re: Parking at Costco

I went to park in Costco car park today and thought it looked emptier than normal. Then I noticed a van with a bunch of cameras and ANPR on it. Are they actually trying to fine people who park at the game and then shop in the store afterwards ? I decided not to risk it and nipped off somewhere else...

Fingers crossed, we will do enough to avoid the drop and can then sit back to enjoy a Cardiff v Millwall playoff tie!

Straight red? How many games does he miss for that? Leaving us a bit short of cover at the back again.

No, I thought he did really well against Preston, particularly in the second half when he was switched to right back and did a great job despite being on a yellow card from the first half.

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

If you want to go on a Gunter witch hunt at least try to offer some vaguely credible evidence to support it. It is, of course, complete and utter bollocks to suggest he never got forward today. Nor did he let numerous crosses get in. I was screaming at Gunter all second half for repeatedly ...

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

Mannone - 7 - Played very well again, he made the saves he needed to and didn't make a mistake in possession that I can recall. Why he was dropped is a real mystery to me. Did he fall out with Stam? Gunter - 7 - I don't know if I'm imagining it but I think he played better at LB. Played well today ...

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

I have to admit I had a Colin Firth (Fever Pitch) moment middle of 2nd half, and thought you know what we deserve to go down-Stam had put together a team of staggering incompetence-then reality kicked in & I thought this is just the Championship; get fit, work hard and you've got a chance. TBF ...

Re: BFTG Villa

Dave Edwards has come out with a public apology on Twitter following his red card last night. Fair play to him for doing so. Interesting to see that was his first ever red card! Couldn't have chosen a worse time to break his duck and, to be fair, pretty much admits that. I think he truly cares. Wil...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Do they change the size of the goal...if not then they defo should. The quality of goalkeeping is the real let down in women's football (which is fairly low quality anyway) Speaks an ignorant *rse who probably hasn't watched any WSL games. I suspect some of those GKs have also got pretty strong pun...

'Left' early yesterday to watch the remainder of the game from the North end of the East Stand. Plenty of people standing there and good atmosphere. Saw Fed's goal from the same position back in the good old days!

Re: Reading FC Womens World

I took a trip over with the grandson to Wycombe last night to see the match against Yeovil- Dave Kitson was there- I`m not sure if he`s involved with coaching the women`s team. Yeovil pointless all season were pretty poor. The Royals were far quicker, controlled the game and fully deserved the win....

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Did well against Chelsea last weekend @Kingstonian. A 2-2 draw at the table toppers, Reading were 2-0 up then (apparently) not awarded a nailed on penalty to probably make it three...Chelsea got back to 1-2 seconds later  The BBC commentary team, including Laura Bassett, were full of praise f...

Re: POLL: Paul Clement in... are we still going down?

I dearly hope I'm proved wrong but I fear his appointment would finish off the relegation job. His most recent experience is getting a club into trouble at the wrong end of the table. The owners left it far too late to make their mind up on Stam and to find they sacked him this late in the season, w...

Re: Stam Gone

Probably the right decision in the circumstances, but I can’t help but feel the fans need to shoulder some of the blame for this season’s failings. The vitriol Stam has received throughout the whol campaign has been absolutely disgusting. ‘Bald nonce’, ‘bald oxf*rd’, ‘dutch bastard’, some people sh...

Re: Message to Tim Dellor and Konathon Low

To be honest with the exception of the Keegan's "I would love it" interview and possibly a few others that I can't recall, have the media really ever got much out of managers post games. 99.9% are just the usual cliches. I think Tim does his best. If that's his best, then maybe he needs t...
