Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

Finally if you think 'The Shame Your Block Thread' is a demand, it's a damn good job you're not a teacher. Try reading the title again. The use of 'the' at the start prevents it being a demand. 'Shame your block' might have been a demand but that's not what's written, is it? Lolz. We'll have to dis...

Re: Can we all agree...?

None of you could have stepped out in front of 80+ thousand people and took one. I would have been sh*tting myself but if I thought that by hitting the target I could sent us to the PL and end our Playoff Jinx then I might have done. Let's face it, not that much to lose as everyone expected us to l...

It is, right up to the point where you head to the stadium.

I would say right up to kickoff. Sweet Caroline was superb and The Royals were rocking! Then the sodding ref blew his whistle.

Re: Do you have another team?

I could happily also support (and have in the past) my village club who I think are in tier 8 without feeling any guilt. I have also started supporting from afar Atlanta Utd in the MLS. They are a really exciting new team, scoring lots of goals with the style of football I am sure Jaap is working to...

Re: Tag yourself at Wembley.

It is a pretty ham-fisted attempt to stitch photos together. The guys that were to our left and a couple of rows lower now appear above us!

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

Hmmmm. Yes... And did you know teachers are even allowed to smile sometimes, have a joke, use irony and even, yes even, not wear a tie sometimes. Extraordinary. I even go shopping. Shame Your Block isn't a demand. It's not a serious poke at everybody there, just meant to be a light hearted dissemin...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

On a more positive note, the 'Royals' mosaic as the teams came out looked absolutely superb - well done to the club for coming up with the idea and organising it. Likewise the rendition of Sweet Caroline before the came was really loud and sent shivers down the spine (finally felt able to bring myse...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

wow this thread got nasty quickly. Me and Stockport Royal Snr were up in the Gods in 505, ironically we were able to stand up for the full game, as we only had one row behind us, I simply asked the lads sat there if they were happy to stand, or swap rows but they got involved as well. I thought we ...

Re: I have been educated!

This season has been a re-education in football. I have learned about football all over again. Admittedly at the start of the season, I was as frustrated and bored as much as anyone else watching our team retain possession and roll the ball around the back. But at Wembley, I felt that my education ...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

And for those who keep asking whether it matters if supporters sing and shout, stop asking that question on here and ask it of the players and management. You actually know what their answer will be don't you; so why keep pretending it would be something different? Vocal support is engrained in foo...

Re: The positive - "make me feel better" thread

Didn't someone say that there would be a proper streaming service of Championship games to subscribers outside of the UK? If so, courtesy of a VPN and US bank account, I should be able to watch any games that I can't get to. Oh, and at least two opportunities to thoroughly p*ss off the new Brighton...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

I was down right miffed with my fellow fans today. I sang, my boy joined in, even my 8 year old daughter wearing 2 Kingsley stickers on her cheeks started a UUUURRRRZZZZ at some point.... And yet..... I was glared at, and surrounded by a small amount of rhythmic clapping..... I backed the boys........

Boy! This thread was about as sporting as fishing with a stick of dynamite or a massive electric current. Can't believe it caught so many. What's depressing is that so many really do want to point the finger and blame. It was sodding depressing but think back to last season and look how far we've co...

Would have liked to have seen Ilori take one of the penalties. a) He looks very comfortable and confident with the ball and b) he's not English!

Re: Huddersfield fan here

I find myself curiously indifferent to how Huddersfield will do next season. I'd perhaps rather they didn't establish themselves like Swansea though. Not through any kind of bitterness, but it's just that every time I see Swansea in the premier league, I feel like Jim Bowen is putting an arm around...

Re: The Shame Your Block Thread

It's not immature to get frustrated by fans and supporters just sitting on their hands, especially on a big occasion Yes it is, it's pathetic. WTF does it have to do with you how other people behave? There are no bigger pcunts at football matches that self-appointed fan police who scream at strange...

Re: Ramadan

If Ali Al Habsi had a shocker and we were leaking goals then maybe this would be something that the manager should have taken into account when selecting his starting lineup and during the game when there was an opportunity to make a substitution. He may not have had much to do, but a clean sheet a...
