Re: MATCHWATCH : West Bromwich Albion (h) sponsored by Brian Howard

Moore looked uncomfortable with his shoulder again on Friday. Hopefully he can see the season out.

Rather than 5 at the back. Play Yiadom in central midfield. This would allow Baker and Rinomhota to alternate and push forward further.

Re: The League of 4

It’s a unique madness of football fans that they see a rival who has won 8 of 43 games and 1 of the last 5 and for some reason decides they could win 2 out of 3 all of a sudden If we had beaten them , rather than drawing twice this season. Then we wouldn't even need to be discussing this. As would ...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

Some clubs resort to anything to fleece their own fans. A football club shop has been criticised for rebranding a £1 Easter egg and selling it for £7. Bristol Sport, based at the Ashton Gate football stadium, is selling Cadbury eggs with Bristol City, Bristol Bears or Bristol Flyers cardboard covers...

Re: Financial Fair Play

Depends on who is paying them. If we're still covering a lot of their wages then the sooner they're properly gone the better. You would expect Aluko’s wages are being paid entirely by the Chinese, not much point him being moved there otherwise. Can’t see China having FFP rules and fully expect the ...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

I have to disagree Ian. Just look at the summer 2018 signings under Clement. They were awful. It’s more than that though. Gomes has managed to integrate these loanees into the squad. They have bought into Gomes and what he is doing. The existing players have done so too and Moore has confirmed this...

Re: BFTG - Bristol City

I don't understand why Gunter backs off so much when someone has a go at him, time and time again they got through us on our right hand side in the first half. He doesn't seem to allow this sort of situation happen to him when he's at LB I'd put that down to the way Bristol were set-up to play. The...

Re: The League of 4

Odds Rotherham 1/16 33/1 Reading 40/1 Millwall. (Despite the fact that Millwall play Wigan in last game) 60/1 Wigan QPR 500-1 I just don't understand these odds! Bookies have already taken money on Reading during the course of the season. Running a book is all about making an overall profit.

Re: Rival Watch

There’s always this nagging thought that a couple of defeats in our last two games could see us down. It shouldn’t happen, but it definitely still could With every game the team does seem to be improving little by little. Draws at Norwich and Brizzle shouldn't be underestimated. None of the teams w...

Fully deserved a point against a good side. Let's hope results later this afternoon go our way.

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Going back to the 'analysis' of Gomes at the top of page 7 based on his past record, it remains bizarre to me that Reading fans take this approach having personally 'enjoyed' the Brendan Rodgers experience. A great record at Liverpool and Celtic, but he wasn't the right fit for Reading at all. Not ...

Re: Twenty’s Plenty

Having just forked out a disgraceful £66 for two Bristol City tickets on Good Friday, it occurred to me that seeing as no other f....ers wish to join in with our highly commendable approach, isn’t it time we kicked it into touch? I've kicked away games into touch. Am going Friday as haven't been aw...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

I would suggest that over the past couple of seasons a lot of this is probably due to the failure of whoever is playing ahead of him on his side of the pitch failing to drop back and do their defensive duties properly. Aluko and Barrow weren't/aren't exactly the hardest working of players. Walking ...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

That is play-off form or close to it, which suggests that this current squad playing for this manager could push for the play-offs. Next 3 fixtures will provide a benchmark and a reality check as to how far we've progressed. The games aren't going to easy with all 3 vying for playoff/promotion aspi...

Re: Gomes after 10 League Games

Typical Team Board. The guy has turned us around and there are if, buts and even people seeming to be preparing for him to eventually fail. I doubt that any Reading supporter wants a manager to fail. The club isn't in the best of financial health. Re-establishing ourselves as a competitive Champion...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Perhaps he is simply better than we've had for a while. Has formed a good relationship with Moore. Listening to his interview yesterday this extends to off the pitch as well. Both of them are working hard to improve their on field understanding. Keeping both of them could be a key piece of the jigs...

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Woodcote Royal More than happy to have him in the side while he performs to that standard but Blackett has every right to feel a little hard done by.

Probably more to do with tactics and cover from the bench. Lot of games in a short space of time. Moore's shoulder obviously is a problem.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

It’s a shame fans from other clubs don’t give Reading just a little bit of credit for Twenty’s Plenty. They don’t get ripped off like they do by some other clubs. The general level of away support suggests that the policy does work. We are struggling to sell 1500 at Bristol City. At £32 hardly surp...
