Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Its weird reading that.. Most users on here have at least some degree of realism. These Fulham fans seem deluded as a minimum. With our dismal performance last time didn't realise that we've improved somewhat. Defensively we are pretty sound defensively if need be. It's the speed of the attack that...

Re: BFTG Fulham

Surreal sitting with the home supporters. Half time it's 1-1. Sure Stam would have settled for a draw at the outset. Team was obviously set up to contain Fulham. Whose threat is limited to playing the wings with pace. Whole team gets a 10 for sticking to the game plan. Over the season they've got be...

Re: Dreaded Third Place

Finishing third isn't a problem, it's competing with thetop twofor automatic and failing that's the issue. We may have finished 3rd, but we were never really in the fight for second and didn't expect 6th even. Only finished 8 points behind Brighton. The gulf isn't that great. Consider also the inju...

Re: BFTG - Burton (A)

A real football ground. Filled with real supporters. Friendly stewards too.

Finally the clinical finishing we've been waiting for.

Looked like a trial match for the playoffs in terms of formation. That won;t be the starting 11 next Saturday.

Already looking forward to next year. Can only get better with Stam at the helm. Transformation of the whole club is amazing.

Re: BFTG - Wigan

I think it's simply just a case that there are too many fans still living in 106-land and just haven't watched many other live football matches so the style of play and not lumping into the oppositions half it is just not on their wavelength when it comes to watching football at the mad Stad. Nah. ...

Re: Who do you want in the playoffs?

Doesn't matter who we play. Need the home leg second. This isn't like playing a normal league game. More like Europe. I'd expect Stam to field a defensive team. To play for a draw or narrow defeat in the away game. Then go full bore at home.

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

REP needs the football club. The match attendance brings footfall. Footfall brings customers. Customers spend money and generate profit. A business will pay a far higher rent for a prime location. Out of match time. There's the business park trade.

Just so similar to too many away games this season.

Be grateful that Leeds have taken only 1 point from the last 18. Still only 6 behind us.

Re: BFTG - Forest

That was embarrassing. Stam's fixation with a set style of play maybe his downfall. Tactically naive from the kick off. Is this Stam's way of telling the owners what investment is required. In order to achieve the goals he has set personally. All that was required was a single point to secure a pla...

The start of the season and that never ending passing around at the back. Feels like a decade ago. The style of play has come a very long way.

Re: BFTG - Rov'rum

Stam's selection at Villa was genius. Mendes and Grabban were outstanding. Popa was good too. That was a tactical masterclass from Stam. Don't worry he knows what he's doing. Sometimes like the first half today he experiments a bit. I'm cool with that. It was still his balls up that cost us the fir...

Another game of two halves. Second half Rotherham dropped back deeper, Didn't press as high. Kelly as a result was given space to play in. Good patient play achieved the result in the end.

Will Mendes get a start at Forest. Understandable why he was rested today.

Mendes - 9 MOTM fair play to the lad, was worried when I saw the line up but had a great game and missed a sitter in the first half too! Looking like a poor-mans Drogba... (Not quite) Grabben missed the "sitter". A tame shot straight at the keeper. Mendes chance was more difficult. From h...
