Re: Leeds v RFC Back from the Tele

What formation/s were we playing? Heard some on here rejoicing at a 4-4-2 but I couldn't tell. From Stam's post match comments that was a deliberate ploy to fill space and counter Leeds style of play. Seems to be developing tactical nouse. Rather than being rigid. The position in the league determi...

Only 12 points off the top spot. Plenty still to play for this season. :D

Re: Gunter

All players have bad patches. The issue is there's no one currently to fight him for the place in the team. Unless Stam is playing McCleary with the intention of getting him fit and then using him as a wing back.

No point in choosing players that aren't fit to play.

Norwich's no 23 was practising freekicks in the warm up. He neither missed one nor did their their keeper even save one. Very impressive.

Do any of our players bother to practise in the warm up? Shows a different mentality of player.

Re: In or Out?

As bad as recent results have been. We won't be relegated. Was always going to be a challenge turning the club around. After some years of decline. Sacking Stam isn't going to cover up the lack of forward firepower in the squad. Stick with him. The next transfer window is the key. Even an unknown co...

Part of Ron Goulay's statement on the official website yesterday before the game. But he can’t do it alone. “The fans are key to this football club and I want this club to interact with the fans of the future. We’ll be transparent and let our supporters know what is planned for the future, but in re...

You know the way he wants us to play, if you don't like it, don't go. The owners aren't going to be happy wih declining revenues as footfall decreases. The poor away attendance suggests that the issue isn't just related to Reading. Continental style football perhaps isn't going down too well. Very ...

Re: Renewed pessimism/interest

Secondly, what I really don't get is that Stam played for Man Utd for three years when they won the premier three times, the FA Cup and the Champions League. You couldn't be more successful, but what I do know is they didn't play anything like this style of football. So does he believe he has an in...

As the home team. Shouldn't the players come out as on fire in the first 5-10 minutes. To ignite the crowd. Four minutes of walking pace possession in your own half isn't going to generate positive passion.
