Smith is out injured.

As the home team Bolton need to open up and play. Should play into our fast counterattacking game.

Re: BFTG - Wolves

I think Beerens is a useful player. I don’t ‘hate’ him or think he is useless but I just don’t think he is as good a player as Barrow, Aluko or Popa in the system we are trying to play He strikes me as a 4-4-2 wide midfielder/winger who would like two big men to aim for. He is probably the best cro...

Re: BFTG - Wolves

The common sense not to undermine his players in public. So, why didn't Stam have the common sense not to say that Illori was taken off the pitch as he was having a poor game? Surely, that would also be undermining a player in public. Double Dutch. The player obviously wasnt ready to play again so ...

Re: BFTG - Wolves

So why move Bacuna? He looked lost bemused and frankly pissed off at right back Why play Gunter at left back where he also looked uncomfortable And why drop Omar and Aluko? It beggars belief. Totally different opposition. Unlike Deby had real pace and width. Aluko wasn't a 100% fit. Omar is one for...

Once there's a fully fit squad to choose from. Then the manager can pick a team on merit. Rather than just who is avalable.

Re: Relegation

Real improvement in recent games. There's no possibility that we're going down. Given that we haven't played the bottom clubs yet. They need to beat us. Parking the bus will do them no favours. As was the case at Derby. With space we can play as Wolves did today and pick them off.

Re: BFTG - Wolves

Another day the result would have been different. The summer signings finally seem to be settling in and gelling as a unit. Swift is regaining his form. Ok made some bad decisions today, but showed a terrific work rate. Finally showed why as a youngster he was compared to Lampard as being a box to b...

Another 5,000-1 bet!

Most exciting front line in years. While at the back we gift goals.

Of course could be a goal less bore draw. :D

Walking does no one any harm. Easy to park within a reasonable distance of the ground.

Re: BFTG - Ramming the Rams

Of course the top 6 is in reach, an 8pt gap with 2/3rds of the season to go is nothing. We need to carry this form on for a prolonged period though. Positive signs. We need 74-75 points for 6th therefore 56-57 points from 30 games. Do-able but it's damn near automatic promotion form required from h...

Re: The "reward youth" debate

It's no different to Swift taking a step down to play for us. Just because he's doing well, doesn't mean Chelsea were wrong to release him. As with Moore. If you are unlikely to break into the first team anytime soon or get regular premiership football. Why spend your time being shunted from club t...

Re: BFTG - Ramming the Rams

Absolutely. We also looked good against Forest and - against conventional wisdom - we were pretty good against Middlesborough too! So what has changed? Derby started the game far too open nor pressed us when we had possession at the back. We had space to play our passing game and dominate the game....

Hmm could have done it several games earlier. We might have a few more points.

More to introducing than simply announcing a name on the teamsheet.
