Some players are simply better athletes. The squad is lacking.

Re: Manchester Utd (a) - FA Cup

At £30 a ticket. Fair play to the owners. Hopefully plenty of day trippers will result in the allocation being taken up. Bargain to watch Man Utd.

Personally I'll pass this time around.

Re: BFTG Sheffield

You would think the other teams at the bottom are looking at us and Ipswich and saying they are gone, just one place to play for now.. A sudden upturn in form (anything can happen in this league) and we're out of it. What a moronic thing to even suggest anyone is 'gone'. 13 wins in the last 67 leag...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

A typical Clement team, playing like a Clement Team and getting a Clement team result. You have missed the performances before Clement took over. To be fair to Stam you could see what he was trying to do.....introduce a style of football that in its first season got us to third but once we got foun...

Re: New Manager

I feel a little uneasy about Pardew given his history here, but he's done well setting foundations before. I'm just hoping we don't appoint a former Reading player/club legend (Murty or Parky), go back to Brian, or go any of Hughes, Zola or Hasselbaink (amongst a tonne of others who should have the...

Re: BFTG Sheffield

Simply reinforced my view that Clement wasn't the problem. Removing him isn't going to change the direction of this season. Feel sorry for Marshall. Might as well have played the entire U23 team for the experience. Given the result. Did the Sheffield United keeper even take a goal kick in the second...

Re: New Manager

Portuguese football is not as bad as people have made out in the past and I would say with the teams outside of the top 4 it's mid to lower level Championship standard. Doesn't address the state of the current squad. Besides which there's little to no time to turn this around. Imposing a new style ...

Re: Clement sacked!

Obvs Howe had made his mind up long ago. Bit of a shame as I did think we were well on the right track. If we go back to McShane/Aluko/Edwards etc, going to be screwing basically Howe was in China prior to turning up at Elland Road. A plan was formulated then by the looks of things. The Chinese bou...

Shame old nobbers leaving trails of pessimism for the paused, “told you so” post if this gets confirmed and Castro fails, and yet if he were to turn ours fortunes around the same posters will be on here gushing with sex wee. The reality is that you can't polish a turd. Though for a £1 million quid ...

Never understood this appointment. Guess Nigel wishes to employ someone to be his no2. Not just be a Director of Football.

Listened to a podcast recently which discussed the effect a new manager can have and the stats to back up the 'bounce' effect and they said it shows if a new manager doesn't get the desired reaction from the players and a change in performance in his first 8 games you should get rid and start again...

Doesn't seem to fit the promised regeneration of the club. Unlikely to generate a surge in half season ticket sales.
