Re: Clement In/Out...latest poll

It would be idiotic to claim that within the current squad there are not a significant number of players with a great deal of talent. Consistant underperformers at this level would be my view. Not the talent that's the issue. Plenty of players have talent. Leagues are littered with players who fail...

Thinking along same lines. Don't mind losing, it's the nature of the defeats that are irking me.

Re: BFTG - Norwich

Kelly and his attitude are a huge part of what is wrong at this club. Lazy, idle and complacent little dweeb. Without really knowing him possibly a bit harsh. But at the same time, know what you mean Some of his comments and actions done him few favours. Think Stam and his Iniesta comments went rig...

Re: BFTG - Preston

I've not been able to go to matches for a while so haven't seen Reading play for a while but just curious if everyone agrees that Aluko is a waste of space or are there those who disagree but keep quiet on here? I just find it strange that everyone is so negative about him yet the manager obviously...

Will he make the grade? A player with potential. Unlikely to be a saviour.

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

And, you couldn’t get much more organic growth than Stam was. Not sure what ice BT was on last season, since we finished 17th/19th years prior (which, you rarely mention). Remember McD replaced Clarke . Given no opportunity whats so ever. Was sacked and Stam arrived. No RG on the scene at the time....

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

BT must have been on thin ice after Stam's underwhelming second year. Particularly as it must have been his influence that saw McD get sacked. The owners most likely accept that Clement needs time and a fair crack. Little point in churning managers. A period of stability is what's required. With a q...

18 yellow cards in 68 appearances. More than one way to miss games.

That's harsh. In his time at RFC JVB was a walking red card or gifted goal. Meyler is a step up.

In that interview he projected NO urgency at all in the clubs situation. There were no answers/plans...nothing...... CEO's aren't magicians. At board level there'll be a long term plan to implement. Only football fans believe that there's quick fixes. Unfortunately more often or not life isn't like...

All teams rise and wane. That's why we love the game. Not to watch one team spend a billion and walk away with the title every year.

Re: BFTG - Weds H

Perhaps our manager might see that too and do something about it. Clement needs to trim the squad. Once they'll be frozen out permanently. I have no preference as to who now walks on the pitch. Other than that they give a full 90 minutes of effort. Even if the football is direct and not pleasing on...

Re: Madejski Out

If sir John had just taken the risk and invested in our great 2006 side we could have been a Bournemouth or Brighton, instead he was scared of the huge costs of sustaining PL survival. SJM's business empire suffered in the property downturn of 2007 and GFC of 2008. Bigger players started to buy int...

Who was decent and has got worse since he took over? Kelly, Barrow, Swift, Gunter, McShane, for sure, and maybe Richards and Clement. [/quote] Kelly - consistantly inconsistant. Swift - injury prone. Barrow - flatters to deceive. Gunter - plateaued some time ago. McShane - committed but past sell b...

Re: Clement

At the moment seems to be persevering with 442, leaving us light in midfield and with no cutting edge. Same formation that McD defaulted too after Rodgers experiment. Where the players looked totally lost. Simply not up to the technical level required. Same as Stam's formations, See that Aluko's co...
