Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

Wouldn't blame him if he fancies a season or two fighting relegation from the top rather than the second flight.

However, anything less than £8 million would be a joke.

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

All three look excellent. I'd be very happy with these. Particularly like the 2nd kit (although I take the point about the sponsor's likely reaction).

Re: Season Tickets 18/19

If the club were to operate their own finance plan I'm pretty sure they would have to apply for a license to become a registered credit broker, with all of the cost of proving and maintaining compliance that entails.

Re: CONFIMRED - Andy Yiadom

Losing is a bad habit to get into. Players get nervous, hide, and underperform on a losing streak. Bringing in a player who experienced relegation might not be the best way to break the cycle of underachievement. Not a bad signing in and of itself, but we also need some players added to the current ...

Re: Season Tickets 18/19

It's more the view that I want to change this year, I was actually situ8ed next to some decent people last season. Part of me is unsure whether I should risk the move tbh I'd stay with the people you like unless the view is really unacceptable. It can only take being stuck next to a single massive ...

Re: Building for next season

"Lack of concentration,' like "poor decision making," are both just short hand for "not very good at football." Both often sit alongside things like "low on confidence." They are both things that otherwise excellent players suddenly seem to develop when playing for...

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Unthinkable that any club would miss the opportunity to fleece, ahem, *reward* their loyal supporters with a new kit every season. No fire sale yet though, just a modest discount. The sort of discount you'd expect in January, not once the season is already over. I guessing next season's kit will be ...

Re: How Are You Feeling?

Disappointed? Resigned? Even, somewhere, a bit curious. I'm sure there is no scenario in which relegation would be a good thing. The sequence of events make it seem unlikely, but sickeningly possible. What happens in Cardiff today is unlikely to be where it is decided. If, somehow, this sh1t shower ...

Re: CONFIMRED - Paul Clement appointed as new Royals boss

Not the bold new direction of high tempo attacking football so many of us were hoping for. But we needed a manager fast, one that would not need to revolutionise things to bring about improvement in the short term, so I can see the logic. His pedigree is outstanding (Real, PSG, the lot from Stamford...

Re: The very latest in STAM OUT threads...with poll

Stam: "I've done everything I can to produce the sort of football and form that would get me sacked. But no! the club still back me. So I looked around for some other way I can trigger my massive compensation package and decided to have a solid dig at the fans. No manager can survive that. So w...

Re: BFTG Brentford

Stam’s post match interviews seems to revolve around the fact that nothing he does or can do will have any real impact upon the performance of the team. He’s doing a brilliant job at standing on the touchline and turning up for interviews – what happens on the pitch has nothing to do with him – he’s...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (h) sponsored by it all changing for the better at last

Optimisms’s Armadillo Roadkill predicts that a mixture of young and exciting Academy products and seasoned pros tear into Stevenage in a high-tempo festival of attacking and pressing. A combination of the crowd’s passionate support for the new look Reading and the unexpectedly large margin of the vi...

It's saying something when the preview on this thread provides more entertainment than the match itself is likely to do.

Re: MACHWATCH : Hull City (a) sponsored by Mr William Whitehurst

Adkins v Stam...... The bore off I liked adkins and think he was unfairly treated and shafted Fully agree. A club in total disarray on the verge of receivership, forced to field inexperienced sides, plus trying to change the way the team played as part of a longer term plan to make survival tenable...

Most of the players clapped, Kermorgant, Gunter and Moore especially. Stam did too. Not sure what extra they were supposed to do -hand out thank you cards?

First half a shambles from both sides. Second half was quite entertaining although low on quality.

400 mile round trip. Utter madness.

Now 1870 is over, it seems like a good year to found a football club here in Reading. We should do it.

A lot to over reacting going on.

That was a poor performance. One look at where we are in table ought to cheer you up though.
