The Brum owners really do seem to be wanting the club to go down. Absolutely shocking decisions from the moment they got rid of Rowett when they were 7th.

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

The Leeds game on the 14th October has been picked as the FL live game for international TV, so won't be on iFollow for those of us in foreign climes.

Re: In or Out?

An unknown quantity that is being overlooked here is the owners. We have no idea if they are the patient type or the trigger happy type. It will be interesting to see how they react if this continues, or if they make a statement of sorts. I can see the attendance being very poor on Saturday, and th...

Re: BFTG Millwall

Well that was more than a little disappointing. First off we weren't great going forward, again. However, there seemed to be a plan to keep very tight, frustrate the home team and slowly ramp up the speed of play, pressure as the game went on. We were playing with more purpose in the 2nd half and mo...

Re: BFTG - Hull

I don't agree the Kelly - Ilori swap was a formation change sub. We went from three centre backs, two wing backs and two midfielders (McShane, Moore, Berg - Gunter, Obita - Edwards, Kelly) to three actual centre backs, two wing backs and two midfielders (McShane, Moore, Ilori - Gunter, Obita - Berg...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

I booed the sub because it was one of the worst substitutions I've ever seen and I wanted Stam to know it. Kelly was the player most likely to score and most likely to create a scoring chance. Free-kick specialist. Penalty taker. Good long range shot. Utter madness to replace him with a oxf*rd cent...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

Booing only ever serves to piss off the players and the management, never seen the point in it. Before the booing Gunther showed no interest in getting forward. After the booing (and after Gunther remonstrating with the crowd) he was far more positive in getting forward, leading to the goal. You me...

Re: Jaap's Radio Comments

So this is the moment, in my view there has been a group of Reading fans who have never taken to Stan, poss. because McD lost his job for him. There has often felt like an undercurrent where these fans have only stayed relatively quiet because results were good. Now, the first bad spell under Stan a...

Re: The generic transfer thread

PL clubs vote to shut the transfer window (sorry Jim white, slam the window shut) before the start of the season. I'd like the EFL to follow suit and other leagues too tbf EFL apparently agree in principle to shut the window for permanent transfers prior to the season but loan signings can continue...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Rare round of midweek Bundesliga games. Dortmund are the early leaders with 4 wins and a draw, comfortable 3-0 win at Hamburg means they are yet to concede. Hamburg dropping like a stone after winning their first 2 games. Bayern sit in 2nd with Hoffenheim and newly promoted Hannover in the early mix...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Early days obv but SV Sandhausen sit top of the Bundesliga 2. From what I understand they are historically an amateur football club, turning pro 10 years ago and reaching the giddy highs of promotion to the 2nd division 5 years ago Essentially yes. They played in the Oberliga Baden-Wuttemberg for a...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Huddersfield's decision shows the inherent flaw of the Academy system since EPPP. They can find an incredibly talented 8 year old in their area and train him on to be a top talket at 14/15, at which point any Cat 1 can just nick him for next to nothing. If the player is in the England set up, they a...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Kelly didn't play a lot of games and was sub more often then not for Bath city and if the truth be known was not rated. however he certainly proved them wrong now and shows that if the have a manager who likes the way you play and gives you a chance then only positive things can happen. That would ...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

Yes, agreed. But I think part of that was frustration and a lack of opportunity having proved himself as capable at Championship level and then being dropped and ignored. And I don't really think the loans he was sent out on were well thought out in terms of suitability for him. A valid point but w...

By the time any player unattached now gets match fit, then it'll either be January or Kermorgant will be fit again.

Was discussed around the Millwall game but the Carabao Cup is not covered. As mentioned elsewhere, the game is one of 3 available on DAZN here in Germany tomorrow night, so there should be plenty of streams around.

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Actually read a bit more into the above. Looks like every midweek game we play we now be viewable on Sky Interactive - from next season at least. which is pretty good for me really, esp as I don't get the chance to go to many away games. And with us having such a huge selection of trips up north to...

Re: Under 23"s Supposedly not ready for first team football.

I personally think we have 3 players ready for first team exposure and would warrant a place on the subs bench: Sam Smith - The one thing we are missing is a natural goal scorer, not knocking JDB but his two miss kicks in front of goal cost us that match!! A striker is all about being in the right ...

Re: Sam Smith or Jon Dadi Bodvarson

Is pretty ridiculous though - so far he has played through injury at QPR before having to be subbed. Come back from injury and scored at Brum and then had a bit of mare.

Lets give the guy a few more games before we right him off huh?
