Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by Yakubu

Key will be to get on the front foot from the off and pressure Derby an not let them build into the game. Do that, and ideally nick an early goal and we stand a good chance here.

It's almost like it's a small market and people are putting a number of small-ish bets on.

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Jordan Obita won't be back this season. As I mentioned elsewhere I have heard a little bit about his recovery as he uses the chryo chamber at Bracknell Town and their pitch for 1 to 1 sessions. From what I was told a few months ago he'd struggle to come back at all and now that seems to be confirme...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

Bielsa's press conference make me want him to be RFC manager. He is mentz (in a good way) Lovely stuff yesterday. Lampard making such a big deal of it and refusing to accept his apology has irritated Biesla to the point where he just given every other manager a blueprint to beat Derby for the...

1000/1 for a top six finish. Only 20 points to make up  and if we managed that, we'd be huge favourites to win the PO's What would it need? About 2.5 ppg? Prob need 50 points from the last 57 to stand a chance, so even Gomes' biggest fan can write that off  As a rough guide: Top 6: 2.65 ...

Spying is unethical but not illegal according to the rules. I think the FA/EFL will soon be making a rule stating something like "no opposition club official are allowed within X amount of feet of another clubs training/stadium" You are probably right but there are things the EFL could ch...

God, I would LOVE to see Baldock being fed by the team as they are playing now. He is a FINISHER Is he? He's never shown it in his career so far... Much more active outside the box, shooting (averagely) from distance leading to the occasional worldie Careful - you'll get some goals per minute stats...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Wagner leaving Huddersfield. obvious to say now but he should have walked away at the end of last season as the hero who took them up and kept them up. They had a laughable summer transfer window, not sure what their chairman thought would happen. Wagner will get a decent job in Germany or a top le...

Re: Asian Cup

Expanded this year to take in 24 teams. There are 46 teams in the Asian confederation and that's before someone decides to play so many ineligible players they get the boot (looking at you, Timor-Leste, but another three or four countries got reprimanded or booted. Nonsense). Its easier to work out...

I get your stance, I defy anyone to say they weren't baffled by the appointment.....however he seems to bring way more positivity than Clement did and if he does pull off the great escape then clearly sacking the last two was the right decision. Clement could never have achieved keeping us up. Clem...

He missed one definite straight red(Murphy), and a potential other one (Fox). There would be no brawl if he is in there quickly with a red. He wasn’t. There is absolutely no reason he needed to give 5 cards out, except his lack of control. He managed it poorly and then got the decision wrong. I’m n...

Surely that's the end of Eza? Otherwise we have 8 first team midfielders for three positions Bacuna Rinomhota Kelly Eza Baker Ejaria Swift Aluko Considering we're in dire need for a LB (Obita isn't good enough either), CB, two wingers and possibly a striker, I'm shocked how we're wasting two of our...

Even if we were interested, I doubt he'll want to move south. He'll move to Preston if anywhere as he doesn't have to move house for 6 months.

Re: RUMOUR - Lewis baker

I'm really not sure I would see the point in this. He has failed spectacularly at Championship level to date - now it could be that he has just been at the wrong clubs and hopefully he will fit better in to style Gomes wants us to play and we may see the player that looked so good at Vitesse. If he ...

Totally echo VM's thoughts on middling teams not taking the Cup seriously. It just seems daft and it used to annoy the hell out of me when Coppell did the same. Yep bugs the hell out of me. By the time the FA Cup starts a club like Leicester or Bournemouth know if they are likely to be in relegatio...

Re: Weekend Football

This. The problem with VAR remains the way in which it is used and fans' understanding of what decisions will be overturned and when, not the technology and the decisions made. Another example is the two minutes that the ref in the United v Reading game spent standing motionless with his hand to hi...

Re: Weekend Football

Absolute joke of a VAR decision in the Fulham-Oldham game. Thankfully it was missed, but how the hell the VAR ref saw that as a foul is mystifying. There was the slightest graze of a touch and then the Fulham player clearly dived. Didn't the ref originally give the pen? If so, for it to be reversed...
