Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Ajaccio win the League 2 play off so now go to the 2 legged final against a team in League 1 to see who plays in league 1 next season. La Havre bus was attacked prior to the match resulting in the game being postponed for 48 hours. When it went ahead it was a feisty affair. With the game at 1-1 and...

Re: Paul Clement to Napoli?

Ancelotti to Napoli is pretty much a done deal. Squeaky bum time... To be fair I'd prefer him leave now rather than 6 months into the season - if he leaves now, we'll get nice compensation and we have enough time to bring in a replacement before the players return to training. I think it's win win....

Re: RUMOUR - David Meyler

He couldn’t get into Hull’s team last season fella, if you think he’s going to improve the team you couldn’t be anymore wrong. Wonder how he managed to score 5 goals and get 2 assists while not in the team. 5 goals would have put him joint-third in our team, alongside Liam Kelly. In less games. Pre...

Not getting the logic on this one. Ok, he has League experience but came through the Ipswich academy where he played 4 first team games. Surely the likes of Andresson, Osho and Holmes have as much potential. Pity Cooper didn’t stay really. He has over 100 apps which none of those do. If we are inte...

Huesca up to the top division in Spain for the very first time. Stadium holds just 5500 fans and they have spent most of their history in the 3rd & 4th division. Reminds of an interesting* story that came out last week, Holstein Kiel could have been promoted to the Bundesliga for the first time...

Coventry wearing this at the weekend because they have run out of shirts to give to the players - a one off design. They have sold over 30k tickets so far also. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/2018/coventry_city_17_18_efl_play_off_final_shirt.jpg So they have run out of shirts but can af...

I do have it on very good authority from my inside contacts in the game, that Gunter is 99% going to leave to either cardiff, villa, or a lower table PL team. Gunter to Cardiff has to be the shoe-in transfer of the summer surely? Record bolding Welsh International returning to the club where he sta...

Is that for the first team or the U23 squad though?

Not been announced either way but seems to being pushed as a 1st Team game. They only return to training on the 25th, so wouldn't be surprised if it sees two teams get 45mins each.

Re: Pre Season 2018/19

Rumours on Twitter that there will be an Austrian tour this year. A lot of teams head there to train so could be a good opportunity to get a game in against a German or Italian top flight club. Doubt we'd get a game v Bayern but Bayern II is probable. Am off there on holiday so would be nice if ther...

At least good to see that the club are announcing friendlies already. Trip to Eastleigh scheduled for June 30th. Kick off at 12.30, so as not to clash with World Cup games I assume.

we also need to trim the squad as well. Would happily lose 10 and bring in 2 or 3 quality signings plus a few u23s 100% agree with you but who realistically is going to take Dangerous Dave Edwards off our hands and those of his ilk? Really worries me we are going to be stuck with the likes of Yann ...

In other words since just before Christmas we have been the worst team in the division and by a distance. Yes but the point is despite being shocking, there were a surprising number of teams who couldn't claw back enough points to do us harm. It truly was a weak division this year and we are fortun...

Re: Goodbye

Just to give you an idea of how bad this division was this year and as a result, how lucky we have been to survive: After the Cardiff 2-2 draw on 11th December, we stood 14th with a total of 27pts from 21 games Despite only picking up a further 17pts from 25 games, we only dropped 6 places in the d...

Re: Play-Offs Thread 2018

If I recall correctly, I think I heard the other day that Fulham have never won a play-off game. Three appearances, out in the semi-finals each time without winning a leg. This is, however, the first time they have come 3rd in the league since the play-offs were established. Correct. This is their ...

I'm not necessarily trying to judge him now, maybe im not communicating my point right, but our performances under him have been awful not giving me much confidence for next year, and I don't think it would be right to praise him for keeping us up. I think anyone would've done to be honest. Ok, let...

Some of the gates for these Play off finals is incredible over 3k at Dulwich and neary 3k at Kings Lynn. Amazing for games at that level.
