Re: RUMOUR - Luuk de Jong

I think it's just a misreading by the OP. It's the Siem Dr Jong story and the only mention of Luuk is that he's his brother. The brother of PSV attacker Luuk could also get started at Reading, where Jaap Stam is trainer. The sixfold international has let that club, based on second level in England,...

Re: Mauro Marconato

Agent has stated he was there but was just there as part of private life as he is having trials with clubs in the UK, Reading are apparently not one of them.

Re: Mauro Marconato

My sources tell me this striker was in the hotel last night. About to sign. You read that on Twitter/Chronicle website too huh? Never heard of the bloke, is 21 and only played 4 times for his club in Argentina last year. Can only assume he has an EU passport as he wouldn't get a work permit otherwi...

Re: calibre of striker within the next 10 days

Reports in Holland that Siem De Jong has turned down a move to us to head back to Holland and Ajax. Apparently we offered more money but he wants to return to the Eredivisie.

Re: BFTG Millwall

Quin was industrious throughout. I think we look better when he plays. Apparently asking to go out on loan, so we won't see if that holds up over a sustained period just yet. Would be a shame in my mind but if he goes somewhere and plays week in/week out until January then could be good for us duri...

Re: Weekend Football

Dangerous yes, but not so much reckless, but relatively cynical IMO. He was trying make contact with the player and it looked like he'd just lost his head after an incident in or around the Everton box which then led to Walkers first booking just a minute of so before. That context probably goes so...

Re: Weekend Football

Yeah, agreed Everton are building something pretty good at the moment. I think it was Dermot Gallagher once said in an interview that referees will generally 'look for a reason not to send someone off'. Clearly not an approach Bobby Madley took last night - neither second offence, from Walker or Sc...

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

Apparently West Ham want to put Andy Carroll out on loan for 6 months to gain fitness. Newcastle were interested but West Ham are not Keen on him going to a rival. Would prefer him going to the Champ. I'm not his biggest fan but he could fill in for Kermit whilst he recovers. As a lone striker, And...

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

They did but none have looked as abject as Brighton in their first two. Admittedly first was City.

If they are going to stay up need serious upgrades up front, which could free up Hemed.

Re: Rumour - Tomer Hemed

I wouldn't rule it out, Brighton want Cardiff's Kenneth Zohore so Hemed could be available. I think they have a striker coming in from Club Brugge as well. If Hemed does come off (in fact any striker), it will be after this weekends games. Interesting* to see how the last week of the window pans ou...

Re: Rival Watch

Chris woods off to Burnley. confirmed by their boss. will still be a strong side this year. Burnley are a great side, they're everything we should have tried to be, scrapping and surviving. They're basically now an established premier league side. Established is pushing it a bit - only 2nd season a...

Re: Redknapp / Birmingham

Every cloud has a silver lining, they sent Villa bottom. In fairness to Redknapp, the squad he's inherited isn't that great, they've got a massive injury list and he's struggling to bring players in. Not sure I'd want to go there if I was a player. The club's a basket case. Well I'm sure they'll en...

Johnny Evans!!!!! 18 mill!!!!! WTAFFFFFFFFFF

Probably because he's been one of the most reliably good CB's in the league for the last 3 or 4 seasons.

Re: RUMOUR - Nelson Oliveira

This was always likely to be one of those transfers that would only have happened before the season started. Once it kicked in, we were basically hoping that Cameron Jerome went on a scoring streak keeping Olivera out of the side.

What were the chances of that actually happening?

Do you have both audio commentary and stream on at the same time online? I haven't figured out how to do that.

No, just have the crowd noise - have no interest in the radio commentary to be honest.

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Can I just say, guys, I am so happy to be able to watch the team each week. It has been a long 9 years supporting from Australia and listening every game. Great isn't it - over the past 4 years had obviously only seen the games Sky have put on - this year, I'll probably get to see more games than m...
