Re: U20 World Cup

a little research says that it was GK Luke Southwood. Anybody know the crowd attendance? 30k ish. Well done to the lads but a note on the media. This is a huge factor as to why the national team consistently struggles. Already articles with notions and suggestions with phrases floating about like &...

This is the first England team to play in a World Cup final at any level since 1966

Not a great record is it?!

Re: Can we all agree...?

Doubt Huddersfield are complaining. :| I'm sorry but it's true. No one would have batted an eye lid had we won in the same style. Both teams had a similar game plan (although admittedly they edged it). Football has winners and losers and it just so happens we came out on the wrong end, again...

Re: Which playoff final was worse?

Bolton of course I can still recall that feeling when 2-0 up and the penalty was missed Looking round there was anguish on everyone's face - no one said anything - they didn't need to - that was it, our chance had come and gone. It's a very gloomy outlook, but I think its the Reading way. Perhaps th...

Re: BFTG - Wembley

We've now caught up Sheff Utd as having the worst Play-off record and their fans have basically stopped going to play off games I don't think they even scored in their 4 play off defeats! They've had 3 semi-final defeats to our 2. 4 finals – all defeats, no goals and 1 penalty shoot-out loss, ironi...

Re: BFTG - Wembley

Utterly awful performance lacking any threat or way forward at all. Stam did a job to stifle and stop Huddersfield and, to a large extent, Wagner did the same for Huddersfield on Reading. Result was an utterly abysmal game of tedious chess leading to the utter farce of penalties. I've said for 30 y...

Re: BFTG - Wembley

We lacked width. We've played well all year with two wide wingers and today struggled to do anything with the ball untik G Mac came on and we pushed Obita in to more of a LW position. The ref completely bottled sending their number 6 off (Hogg I think?). He had been booked in the first half, bought...

Re: How Nervous Are We All?

I'm not nervous at all as I have already accepted we will loose . Vs Bolton when Archie was about to take the penalty I turned to my friend and said "we will miss this and loose". Vs Walsall when we went 2-1 up I didn't even celebrate as I knew the momentum was with walsall and we were go...

Re: Can we all agree...?

I'm gutted for Moore and Obita. Both have done so well this season. I just wanted to know what it feels like to win these oxf*rd playoffs. Just once. That was the worst possible way to lose Me too And I am sure when the next one comes around I will be there to try and experience it again But right ...

Re: How Nervous Are We All?

Agreed with the total and utter devastation of the Bolton playoff. I genuinely thought we'd blown our only chance of top flight football. This totally Not nervous about this one at all Expectations are very low and if we win great But will I be as calm standing (?) at Wembkey tomorrow We'll see
