Re: CheLOLsea

Excellent refereeing. Hopefully that is the start of some changes in the game. Personally I long for the day when the excuse “there was Contact” is no longer considered a valid excuse for falling over and winning a free kick / penalty. A hand touch on the shoulder (and it was no more than that) is ...

Re: CheLOLsea

I like this ref

If every ref dealt with so called claims for penalties in this way diving would reduce

And of course in this case it was also funny

Re: England - the future....

I'm sure Stones will start in the World Cup but my worries about him were apparent this evening He was beaten for pace by Reid from Bristol City and slid across him to concede a horrible penalty If Reid can make him look silly what chance is there against quality internationals?! He's been a lot be...

Hull City are the highest scorers at home in the league. They've failed to score in just 1 of their last 6 home games.
We've only failed to score in 4 of our 13 away league games this season.

Try again

Re: The Non - League thread

Dipped my toe in the non-league water today Brackley v Barrow No goals but very lively attacking football with plenty of incident Forgot what this was like!! And no faking injury or diving! There are a couple of Brackley players who look to me as if they could make it as pros One maybe too small and...

To be fair, the way the team is lining up and playing at the moment, Thierry Henry in his prime would struggle to score goals

I doff my hat to anyone going to this especially if they don't just live round the corner somewhere and especially if they bought a ticket after going to the Stevenage game.

I'm sure City will ultimately win tonight but really impressed with Bristol and the way they are matching City
Really scrapping for everything and creating quite a bit as well. Deserved the half time lead.

Re: In or Out? New poll.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of a very frustrating season is Stam not sticking with the team and formation that played so well against Derby Derby started the game poorly. While Reading played well. The defensive frailities were all too apparent. They really weren't The frailties being apparen...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

can see why Reading are struggling, no intensity, trying to play from the back but on today’s evidence not the quality of players to execute the plan. Played into our hands especially as we really seemed up for it I thought Reading were poor and toothless Lack of confidence... A Reading fan said it...

Re: BFTG - Stevenage

At least it was entertaining watching Stevenage They may have lesser quality players but how nice to see a team hungry for a win, quicker to the ball and more decisive and more aggressive than any of our team. They wanted it more and can consider themselves very unlucky not to get the win. If I were...

Re: In or Out? New poll.

I don’t really subscribe to the “our defenders are shite” view. They are perfectly decent defenders but their brains have been fcuked up by bullshit coaches trying to turn them into Franz Freakin’ Beckenbauer. As a result of this going on day after day they no longer see the obvious or do the obvio...
