Where in the world??

Where, in the world, have you watched league or cup football? I'm a regular attendee at Chinese football matches (Mainly Beijing Guoan & Beijing Beikong but have also attended games at almost every other Super League venue). I've seen J League games, a V League game and even went over to South K...

Re: Back from the game - Norwich

Norfolk Royal Left when the fifth went in, jumped on a bus and now back home. I'm claiming the fastest ever BFTG thread.

Did you swear at all Norfolh (Like I did at Ipswich)?

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

Yeah, you back off to allow the distance to close so you can affect the player without having to overcommit or get caught flatfooted. Gunter let the distance stay too big too long to the point where Lawrence wasn't impeded in shooting in the slightest. This 100% and witnessed in the flesh. Our whol...

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

ffs. If we do go up, we'll prolly struggle to domin8 the odd game next season too, and some of you will moan. Blimey Lux, wind it in a bit. I was surrounded by people frothing at the mouth and going blue in the face effing and blinding yesterday. Any criticism above implied or otherwise is merely a...

By the way: if that's the best Ipswich have played for 18 months, it's no wonder the place was half empty.

Re: Back from the game - Ipswich

I didn't feel that there was any cohesion. Nobody seemed to be aware of what anybody else was doing, the aimless passimg across-field got on my tits, the defece was a total shambles (We almost gave them there second) and Ali Al-Habsi's reluctance to "give it a hoof" now and then frustrated...

LUX someone posted a few weeks back that he was at the same Chinese club where Pelle had gone and was earning £100k a week.

He was never here.

Re: BFTG - Burnley

......for some of the cocks on here......can we now put the goalkeeping concerns to bed? AAH is a good shot-stopper but his aimless wandering around the box worries me as he gets caught out of position far too easily. His distribution isn't the best, either. However: RFC's biggest problem is the la...

Re: Tickets for Burnley

Cheers for all this info folks.

Last year, when I asked a similar question (I had planned to go to the Wigan game that got postponed), somebody told me that there was a bus that ran from somewhere near the station to the stadium. Does this bus still exist and, if it does, what number is it??

Tickets for Burnley

Am I going to have any trouble buying a ticket on saturday for the Burnley game?? What's the process?? Is there a ticket booth at the gates or will I have to go to some "main office" somewhere?? How much time should I give myself to complete this process?? I'll be in Reading tomorrow after...

Re: Welcome back Brian!

Maguire The fact Brian has worked here before isn't going to materially affect the performance of our latest squad of deadbeats for the rest of the season.

Brain's arrival for his first stint transformed a squad of Brendan Rodgers deadbeats. He can do it again.

Re: Welcome back Brian!

Football supporters amaze me at times! They expect players etc to have the same commitment and passion for their club as they do (How many of YOU are fully committed to your employer), boo players who do leave for better things (Which of you wouldn't leave your current employer for a higher-paying j...

Re: CheLOLsea

That's not strictly true They were a top 4 team by 98, finished 6th for a couple of seasons before that and were prolly mid table 10/11th for the rest of the 90's Beyond that I can't rem but know they were relegated in the 80's I remember the Geoff Hurst era and the very real possibility of them dr...

sandman That's like saying a team like Leicester could be top of the PL, pure fantasy!

ANY team could top the PL if you threw enough money at them (#cryformanure).

But, then again,; sometime, no matter how much money you throw around, shit will out (#weepbucketformanureandchelski)

Re: The Women's World Cup

retro_royal The fact that having 20 yards extra on a goal kick is of some importance shows how utterly crap the standard is. Total waste of time

I used to watch Reading when we were in the old 3rd and 4th divisions. The standard was pretty "crap" then, too. Was I wasting my time?
