Re: BFTG West Brom

Well, back from IFollow. First - why, why on earth, are we even thinking about giving a contract to Meite? Christ, he's not even a footballer player. Yes, he runs around a bit and you can't question his application, but he's not a footballer, is he? So we give him a *four* year deal now.... somethin...

Re: BFTG , Hull.

Encouraging signs but still some things to fix. Clement did the sensible thing and made the changes that pretty much everyone has been saying for weeks - no Gunter, Aluko or Meite, though seeing O'Shea was a bit of a surprise. Some standout comments: Yiadom again showed real class. Shift him to righ...

You're not fit to wear the Hoops....

With a remarkable sense of irony, when does the collective think we'll hear a rousing rendition of this all time cult classic usually reserved for those from W12? Maybe the 'hardcore' of Club 1871 could start it off, with them being the loudest and proudest 'n all? 15:21 tomorrow is my guess.... and...

Re: Ex Players

Who's up for a weekend in Iceland to do a bit of scouting and report on the our next manager? Seriously. I fancy a bit of second division Icelandic footy, tall, chisel jawed blonde birds, a bit of geo-thermal pool activity, rollmop herrings.... and beer at eye watering prices. I absolutely LOVE a r...

My team for Naarige: Walker ________ Yiadom Ilori Moore Blackett (if fit, if not Gunter) _________ Bacuna Kelly Sims _________ Swift ________ Barrow (if not breastfeeding) Baldock And, when our Iranian international is up to speed, I'd slide him in for Kelly.... assuming he is actually half decent. ...

Re: BFTG - Preston

Well that was certainly improved. It was incredible to see desire and a willingness to attack from us. I can't believe the heads didn't drop after their equaliser but they didn't! I know it's awful to critique our team after such an important win but there were a few things that annoyed me. 1. Gunt...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Preston North End (a) sponsored by the season starts here

One comment: Sims was pure class to run onto to that Kelly ball, have the confidence to push it past the full back, use his speed to get there and then put in a decent ball. The one bit of quality all game.

F u ck Bolton Wanderers. If any club can't sort it's own finances then they deserve everything they get, regardless of the manager. I can't believe you two - you are not supporters. Please fold your accounts. Nailed. '95 still lives long in the memory. Parky or not, they deserve everything coming t...

**Pedant mode** Arsenal (H). F A Cup 1972. I was in the South Bank. Official Attendance 27,600. I was there, too. On the wall in front of the gantry on the SB. For me, there has only ever been one club. Since 1967 watching the likes of Southport and Workington from the Town End, progressing to the ...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

I've noticed a few people complain about Aluko bottling a 50-50 challenge in the build up to their first goal. Not noticed anyone mention the fact he then made literally no effort to pick up his man and get goalside until he'd received the ball, and then narrowly avoided giving away a penalty by pu...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

For those of you criticising the signings of players like McNulty and Baldock, or of the love for Meite. I just want you to have a think about what's wrong with our players. They're gutless, negative, lethargic and apathetic. None of those things describe our two new strikers or Meite. Our biggest ...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

True about O’shea but I was more making a point about the changing room character that people said we were bringing him in for and stuff. Not sure how someone who is used to losing week in week out for years could help with that. Baldock and McNulty have shown some glimpses, but 7 games in and only...

Re: BFTG - Weds H

So. We were shocking. We are shocking. So shocking that it no longer shocks me. Mannone looks half the keeper he was last season (he wasn't great to begin with) Gunter has waltzed back into a team in a position where we are arguably strongest right now. Yiadom was shunted out left and did a job. Bu...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (h) sponsored by oh no, not another Saturday home game

Out of that lot the only people who should be in the squad are: Yiadom - who I thought was the our best player, again Moore Ilori Bacuna Barrow - though he is clearly injured The others who might make the cut: ummm, none. No one. They are just not Championship standard, although Sims has potential. ...
