Re: Which was worse

Terry and *that* night at Oxf*rd must rate as the worst performance - totally laughable.

However, the so-called pedigree of this squad and the dire dreadfulness of Burton, Brum, Stevenage and Hull must put it pretty close because of what it should be capable of and.... ummmm, fails.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a) sponsored by an FA Cup run needed to save the season

Is anyone aware what "certain qualities" Stevenage have? No, but I'm sure they play in a "certain way". Well we will have to counter this by getting in "certain situations" then. I'm certain that a significant part of the resentment towards Voldemort is his penchant fo...

Re: Gourlay out.

I haven't got much of an opinion about what you've put about Gourlay, but calling Jaap a 'tyrant dictator' and saying he is not a nice man is so wide of the mark. I know quite a few people at the club in a variety of roles, and every single one of them has nothing but nice words to say about Jaap. ...

Re: Back from the shambles - Brum

Christ almighty. Passionless. Spineless. Clueless. Abject misery. I've been 'fortunate' enough to see three games this season - Wolves, Burton and Brum at home. For 45 minutes we looked quite good against Wolves and each half has just got more depressing since then. McShane, van den Berg and Clement...

Re: The Non - League thread

Maidenhead 1 Fylde 2 An enjoyable but unremarkable match with Fylde turning it round and worthy winners. Fylde were the more composed side in the first half. Rasping 20 yard shot shook the crossbar and in the ensuing follow-up I have no idea how they didn't put away one of the other three chances fr...

Re: The Non - League thread

Looking forward to going to York Road on Saturday which I am sure will be immeasurably more fun than traipsing 180 odd miles to watch a tedious, and ultimately unsatisfying, game of keep ball in Yorkshire.

Re: My time at Reading FC Academy

Interesting little snippet and the comparisons with West Ham and Fulham on the blog.

I'd actually like to know a lot more about how each club identifies youngsters, the programmes they have in place for individuals, and details of different skills training sessions.

Nice one, Mr Cohen.

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Flew back two days ago and this was my first game in four years. Turned up with the old man and was determined to try and be positive despite having doubts about the team from countless streams in the US. I have to say it was soul destroying. The atmosphere was poor, there was no buzz, the players ...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Liam Moore's reaction at the end was interesting. Looks like he could be off and who could blame him after that shambles. Be such a shame but looks almost certain......and I agree, we can’t blame him! I’d want a transfer right now!! I missed that. Please elaborate... He was down on his haunches nea...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

Abject, toothless, heartless. Absolutely one of the worst performances I have seen in c 1,000 watching RFC. Just terrible. No movement. No passion. No fight. No idea. Did I say no movement? Swift and Bod sparked things up a tad but the rest of them, possibly with the exception of Moore, are simply c...
