Re: BFTG - Wembley

I cannot fathom Stam's setup today. So narrow, so negative. Credit to Gunts for the shift he put in but he and Blackett ain't wing backs and there was a total absence of pace and penetration up top. Things improved slightly when Obita came on. Danny Williams was immense but there was just noone look...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

if the Chinese pass the fit and proper test then i have don't have a problem with extra cash being pumped into the club. There's a lot of club owners that have passed that test that aren't Anton passed the test and we all know how that turned out. Anyone good at e-digging find out how much the blok...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

This isn't true though is it That part might well be true.. Looks like I might owe blueroyals an apology. From what I can tell through fairly limited digging, £15m worth of shares were alloted to the football club in consideration for the land in May last year. Since that point the shares have been...

Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Apparently these are the guys who nearly bought Hull from Allam, only for 'members' of their consortium to fail the fit and proper person test. Given the number of questionable characters who've cleared that hurdle they must have some lovely mates.

Re: Back from the game: MK Dons

I counted 22 crosses that either found a franchise player or noone. The sideways / backwards tappy tappy will get us into trouble against better sides. Cooper is a f*cking liability. Mendes can't play up top by himself.

Re: Rumour - Rafael van der Vaart

TBH his knees were shot to pieces at Spurs and he's dislocated one (or both of them) no fewer than 3 times since he left. He's played 7 first team games in the last 14 months and (if google translate got it right from the Betis fans) 'moved like a rocky escarpment' (i don't think it did, but you get...

Re: Brum (a) Match Thread - Sponsored by Euro Cake

Just another example of stats and football not working. Dribble little shot at the keeper = shot on target, everyone wets themselves Cracking shot against the woodwork with the keeper beaten = not a stat therefore ignored It IS a stat. It's called a shot off target. I feel like you're struggling wi...

Re: RUMOUR - Robert Beric

Let's face it, we know naff all about how much the owners have or haven't got. It bears mentioning that Piempongsant's dad and Taweesuk 'Jack' Srisumrid were Thaksin's point men in the UK during the Thai MCFC tenure so there may be more to it than any of us can even imagine.

Guthrie £40k a week Pearce £24k a week Karacan £22k a week Federici £22k a week That is a sizeable sum of money to bring in alternatives on half the wage... Move others off soon ie Akpan, Taylor, Kanu, Cox And the books well and truly balanced Bring in replacements on half the wages and you're look...

Dominated against Wednesday - Didn't take chances and lost. 1-0 up against Wolves - Stupid and pointless substitution at half time, leaving our defence exposed, somewhat lucky to get a draw. Dominated Leeds - Didn't take chances and got a draw. Playing ok but need to buck our ideas up in games like...

Re: Buyout

The broker for the Thai consortium’s £26m bid, meanwhile, is Pairoj Piempongsant, the football fixer who set up the 2007 acquisition of Manchester City by Thailand’s exiled former prime minister, Thaksin Shinawatra. The very same Thaksin Shinawatra, Diary notes, who found guilty of corruption by th...

Re: Buyout

Yet another mockery of the FA's fit and proper person test. Bill Kenwright saw through this muggins when he trolled Everton as 'part of his MBA dissertation'. It seems that nothing changed in the intervening 8 years.

We could have Messi up front, but if we can't get the ball to him, then he isn't going to do anything. That's where I think the problem lies This. Pog is a finisher. He doesn't create chances, he works for space and finished them. If he's got nothing to finish then he can't be effective. As a resul...

Re: back in the car from the game

Listless and toothless...for all of Pog's idiocy in getting sent off we totally fail to utilise him anyway. He's not a creator, he's a finisher and we give him nothing to finish. We don't seem to have a clue how to create chances and our movement is just..yes, bemusing.

Abject, pathetic, ponderous and totally lacking in any semblance of attacking threat. I wouldn't fancy us to score in a brothel etc.

Re: Brighton (H) - Official Match thread sponsored by Glitte

This is without doubt one of the worst refereeing displays I've ever seen. He's already ruined the game, killed any flow it had and applied absolutely no common sense. If you're handing out yellows every time there's a challenge, you set yourself off to send multiple players off - this won't finish...
