Re: Rival Watch

Great results, today, especially Forest 0-0

Stam is a genius, making sure we wouldn't have a game today...

Re: Rival Watch

Betting on my own team to win, doesn't make it more likely they'll win.

Betting on my team for relegation means simply that I think the odds are higher than they should be and it's therefore a good bet. END

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

It must have been the two seasons before that I'm thinking of. One season they nicked sixth to our seventh on the last day. The following season they were near relegation, the next they were third? 2013-14 1.Leicester City 46 31 9 6 83-43 102 Promoted 2.Burnley 46 26 15 5 72-37 93 Promoted --------...

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

Or it won't. :D I have no "logical" reason for this, but I think if Stam stays and we stay up, even as low as fourth bottom, next year we'll go up automatic Didn't that more-or-less happen to Brighton? PS Of course, we might go down. On this, IF we came straight back up, I think it might ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by a neat finish from Paul Holsgrove

Birmingham, Bolton (twice), Burton and Sunderland all play before we next play. We could potentially be 20th and closer points wise to the bottom two before we even play against Forest, then there’s the small task of playing 1st, 2nd and 8th in the following 3. Yikes a loss at Forest doesn't bear t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by a neat finish from Paul Holsgrove

Bolton and Brum are picking up plenty of points I think Burton and Barnsley are probably dropping. That third place is very much up for grabs Barnsley's next four games are all against relegation contenders Either they are gonna be doomed, or the other four will be hurt Either way it's VG for Readi...

You can still get 9-1

ALUKO

How many thought (and said) wow, we have got a good player, when he arrived?

How many here said he was junk?

Aluko is a very good player

But he said in his first interview that the way he plays is to take risks

that seems to have been (temporarily) cached out of him

result, people say he's crap.

Re: The only course of action now...

Can I just remind people, that even if we were top-two, going away to Boro and losing 2-1 is NOT terrible and does not justify a melt-down. They are a very decent side, four points off the play-offs, spent shed-loads, have a very good manager and some excellent players I dont believe it`s who we lo...

Re: The only course of action now...

And you don’t average one point per game by being unlucky. I'd disagree with that. You can have a few games where wins become draws, draws become one-goal defeats (due to poor rub-of-the-green) then confidence drops, fans get on players' backs, managers start making pointless changes... Most years,...

Re: The only course of action now...

If there was a single aspect to our play that had improved from last season, or even this season, I’d be happy to give him a chance to learn from his mistakes We are worse in everything we do Hi Hound. Mate, that is simply NOT TRUE. Last year we got some pummellings like 7-1, 5-0. This year we have...

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

Burton to finish bottom at 2/3 seems amazing odds.

For all the doom-mongers (AKA Realists) you can get 9-1 for Reading to go down

Those are FABULOUS odds, because they are on track to be bottom four at best

Interesting that Wednesday (just two points above Reading) are TWENTY-to-One to go down

Re: Stam is doing this deliberately.

I'm as unhappy as the next bloke but sometimes things just don't work

Look at Sheffield Wednesday, great last season, poor this (one place above us)

so they sack the manager who has worked miracles at Swansea

I think after the next four games we will have a better idea. Especially vis-a-vis Barnsley's chances. They play close rivals in their next four games 20 Feb Barnsley v Burton 24 Feb Birmingham v Barnsley 27 Feb Hull v Barnsley 03 Mar Barnsley v Norwich also Forest v Barnsley Barnsley v Bolton ====...
