Re: CONFIMRED - John O’shea signs for Reading

Yep I'm gonna be just as negative as when Clement was appointed. So you were negative before the team kicked a ball under Clement, negative when he kept us up and now negative before the transfer window has really got going ....oh, unless he buys the player you think we should have....gotcha! Not e...

Re: BFTG Villa

Didn't go last night, but from I read it seemed it was Snodgrass' delivery that was the difference between the teams. With the talent Villa had upfront, any half decent ball in the box would cause most teams problems. Given it was against 10 men dont think anyone can be surprised or even over react...

I'm going, just wonder if there is any chance of it being called off due to weather.

The east of the UK is meant to get a lot of snow overnight.

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

The performance was nowhere near as bad as some on here are saying, but I guess the 8 pages of nonsense on the match page is based on what they heard from Low and Dellor. We were on top for the first 20 mins and nearly scored and then we lose 2 key players in quick succession which did affect the r...

Re: Could Stam be contracted to his current style of play?

Apparently there was a comment on the radio during the Birmingham match ( i didn't hear it I was at the match) concerning the style of play being so slow that our fitness may be suffering. We aren't playing fast committed football for 90 minutes each week ( that part is certainly true) and as a cons...

*cough* Jason Roberts *cough* I hope not but yes that is a possible downside Is it a similar injury? I like Kermogant, I am really happy that, if he is fit and able to retain that fitness, he has signed a new contract. However he is coming back from a fairly long layoff and he is no spring chicken,...

Re: BFTG - Blackburn Home

Decent performance, thought Blackburn very poor in the 1st half. Decent noise from Y25/6 but agreed with others on the attendance. Just a thought, what's going on with the car parking situation lately? Could that be putting people off? I arrived at the Holiday Inn at about 7:30pm and it was very ne...

Re: Why are "we" booing players keeping the ball?

Have to agree with Sandman here. People talk about the "possession " way of playing football or "hoofball" the more direct way of playing as if those are the only to choices. In truth it is a lot more complicated than that. Steve Coppell and his coaching team used to talk about p...

Re: Tiger speaks to fans

Did anyone raise the apparent contradiction in relying on youth and letting someone like Tish go? Club wouldn't turn down that fee, don't think any club of our stature or even higher would. PLUS Tish asked to go apparently which is hardly surprising given the size of Villa compared to Reading. Hi S...

Re: New manager odds

As if you have any idea about the approach the club is currently taking. You'll note the word "If" at the start of the sentence. I don't really think that - based on what I actually said - if we were to appoint someone within a week of sacking McDermott who has no English, particularly Ch...

Re: McDermott Sacked (AGAIN)

Excellent, Denver. Nope not excellent...if only for the statement underlined. Bringing in any manager and then firing them after just 5 months, even with the results achieved really would invite ridicule and anger, disbelief and prompt concerns about the decision making at a club from any fan. Add ...

Re: McDermott Sacked (AGAIN)

It depends really. If the ownership seems to be making sound decisions, and the new manager seems to be doing a good job along Reading ethos lines, I'll go to more games (I've not said I'd stop entirely), though if things continue to deteriorate - and I'm not specifically talking results on the pit...
