Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Nothing is changing though. He may be honest, but he is also doing a poor job. Disagree. Last year we scored 48 in 46 games . 13 of which were against the relegated teams. Which is a net 35 in 40. Less than one a game. So far 24 in 17 games. That's a vast improvement. Saw many games last year where...

Re: BFTG - Ipshit H

Clement hanging on by the skin of his teeth I reckon. I like his honesty. Unlike Stam is totally upfront about the team's performance. Calling the first half performance embarrassing live on radio was spot on. Sending a clear message to some of the players. Nothing is changing though. He may be hon...

Re: Clement

Didn’t want him in the first place, don’t want him now. Get someone like Mick McCarthy in to keep us up. True it is hardly a long term solution but going down to League One would be a much greater evil. Needs must.

Re: BFTG Millwall Home

Well that was far more enjoyable than being battered for 80 odd mins should be! Delighted to see Meite play so well, I’ve always rated him....but previously this has been because he works so damn hard and clearly loves playing for us, regardless of the quality of his output. Today he showed that qua...

Re: England - the future....

Went to the U21s 7-0 thrashing of the mighty Andorra tonight. Was impressed with Lookman, Kenny, Nelson and Solanke. ‘17 year old’ Ryan Sessegnon was dreadful. He looks completely shot of confidence and is clearly suffering from playing in the PL. The only thing he did of note in the match was hit ...

Re: The Football League Thread 18/19

The fall out up here was as spectacular as it was hilarious.....planned protests (but only the local newspaper reporter turned up), sackings, players being asked about competitions rather than games..... However, the state the club is in now is less amusing. I really would not be surprised if they g...

Re: On this day

On this day in 1997 we drew 3-3 at home with Crewe. Carl Asaba on the scoresheet twice and an OG in our favour. Carl Asaba is very underrated. I know he was inconsistent but I rate him. The second being a header that he knew nothing about. Caskey swung the corner in and it just hit Asaba in the fac...

So if Clement goes, who comes in? Nigel Gibbs Sam Allardyce Alan Pardew Carlos Carvalho Phil Parkinson Some foreign bloke with no real experience in English management A Steve Gerrard/Frank Lampard type An upcoming younger manager from divs 3 or 4 might be worth a shout Rather left-field choice, bu...

Re: CONFIRMED - Yakou Meite

I like Meite.....I think he has the potential to be a decent Championship player (nothing more mind) and I’m really pleased he has signed a new deal.......but.....4 years?? The club clearly think he is going to become worth a bob or two.....Surely that is the only reason they’ve handed it to him, be...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Queens Park Rangers (h) sponsored by Michael Meaker

The 3 dives (of which two got fully deserved yellows) summed it up for me. By the time Yiadom threw himself to the floor, the ref had given up caring.....like most of our squad. We do have a squad decent enough to be higher than we are....but their general attitude is abysmal. Everytime there is the...

Re: BFTG - Norwich

I only watched it on the TV, so not going to do a proper review. However, watching that tonight reminded me so much of the TB1 and TB2 era.....players we’ve overpaid for being underwhelming, against a functional Championship side. We are in such a heap of Ox***d and League One really does seem the o...

Not sure if anyone has brought it up before but sky are showing EVERY midweek championship game on the red button. This means they will be showing the games against Blackburn, Leeds, and Norwich, both home and away. I’m still hurting after 7-1 thanks for the heads up, was not aware of that! Should ...

Re: BFTG - Forest away

I think the strike force will score goals given time. Baldock is a quality player who will do well once settled imo, and Bod despite his clear limitations is a pain in the arse to play against, and will score 10+ for us McNulty is a bit of an unknown but Im hopeful he’ll acclimatise Meite and the l...

Re: BFTG - Forest away

Just got back. I really enjoyed that. Yes we lost, but we weren’t outclassed. We played well and created chances. Forest were no better or worse than us, they created a few half chances....but most of their best chances came from our mistakes. Grabban’s 1 on 1 with Vito, the close header and the go...
