Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by still no Saturday home win this season

Thing is, despite the fact I’ve been Stam in all season, I can really see us going down. Reminds me so much of 10 years ago as we drifted out of the Prem. We were doing ok (in terms of being clear of the drop) but drifted towards the bottom 3 after Christmas. The closer we drifted to it, the more I ...

Re: Burton (A)

In for the Terrace. First trip there. Can’t go to Wednesday away (despite it being my closest geographical ground) so going to Burton instead. First time in a while I’ve seen a team home and away in a season. Be nice if we could contrive to win it......

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

A worthwhile read. http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2018/01/report-city-0-reading-0/ Hull City = Reading FC Indeed, fair review of the game and Hull as a club.....Apart from the bit on the disallowed goal. On that, was lovely to see David Prutton and Chris Powell don’t know the laws. On Sky highligh...

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

Yeah, having seen the C5 show, it was the right decision. As I said, when I saw it at the ground, there didn’t look much wrong with it in real time. Shows what a good decision it was.

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

Your classic bore draw. Really not much else to say apart from.... 1) Vito was class. 2) Richards has to play now. He was very good....and managed to get himself out of trouble with his pace on several ocassions 3) The ‘ull goal looked legit from where I was. However, after seeing some replays, I’m...

Re: Stevenage (h)

Interestingly the Sheffield United v Preston 4th round match is on Sat 27th. So if Wednesday beat Carlisle, the winner of our tie won’t play on the Saturday........ Reason why Man Utd played their FA Cup tie on the Friday night, I believe. If both teams were to get through, you would hope they see ...

Re: FA Cup Round 4 Draw

That draw can oxf**d the oxf**d off........I’m in Reading that weekend, when we could be playing at a) one of the grounds closest to my house, being less than 10 miles away or b) a ground just over two hours away from my house, that I’ve never been to.....so I hope it ends up being Carlisle v Steven...

Re: What is the problem at the moment?

We’re not as good as we (the team/ management, not the fans.....plenty of people felt we were over-rated last season) think we are. Plus we over-achieved massively last season and I think that has made Stam and the team rather complacent.

Earlier this season...

Hull City 6-1 Birmingham City

Nailed on Reading win then.

Probably.......however, is that a good thing in the circumstances?!

Re: 11 years ago today

Recall a lot of WHU fans disappeared at half time  Depressing to think that a combination of Coppell and Madejski then wasted all that was achieved with no investment the following season. More to do with failing to beat Fulham at home the following year. To be honest, we could almost be held ...

All joking aside, a loss tomorrow and we are right in the Oxf**d.....especially with the certainty that we’ll lose to Adkins’ Hull side.

Re: In or Out? New poll.

As mentioned elsewhere, I’m not so sure Gourlay is as bought into Stam as the previous owners/BT I’ve a feeling the Burton game hit Stam’s standing hard. Big effort by the club to get a big crowd and that shite was served up. Gourlay would have been very aware of that And it is not like he was part...
