Re: MATCHWATCH : Middlesbrough (a) sponsored by a neat finish from Paul Holsgrove

We always play our worst games when Kelly starts.....We feed the ball to him quickly and he will either stand on it for 5 minutes, meaning the opposition are back in position, or he will over hit it forward to nobody, or pass it sideways to a player surrounded by the opposition ....... It can't be ...

Reminds me so much of the FA Cup S/F season. We are awful (mostly) but somehow there are worse teams than us.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Millwall (h) sponsored by looking for a win at home on a Saturday

Normal service is resumed after Tuesday. I’d like to think there are two worse teams than us.....as I suspect Burton may not be able to repeat last season’s great escape. As for Stam, he clearly isn’t going anywhere.....

Re: BFTG Burton

Are any of these comments on the foul based on anyone actually seeing the incident, either live or on replays? I ask because, if there's some footage of it, I would like to see it myself as it was at the other end and I was following the line of the ball. All I saw was the forward, who was nowhere ...

Re: BFTG Burton

Like giving away a penalty. No farting about just a straight forward foul itn the box. It was a very soft pen and it didn’t diminish his performance at all. If any thing I would say it added to his performance. He did it the simple way. If you have to give away a penalty thats how you do it. Soft a...

Re: BFTG Burton

Good value for the win. We were always the more likely to score and got our rewards for an attacking line-up too. Dave Edwards caught the eye, seems quite underrated amongst our fan base but he keeps it ticking over in midfielder and always good in possession. Good atmosphere amongst the travelling...

Re: BFTG Burton

Yup agreed. Good backing of the lads last night. Didn't hear anything particularly negative, but easier to be positive when you lead for the majority of the game I think! But according to double d, who was "there", the atmosphere was really sour? :? The only negative thing I heard last ni...

Re: BFTG Burton

Yeah it was very much get the job done somehow! For those of you who have seen/will see the highlights.....look out for the sad loner all on his own to the left of the away terrace! When Jon Dadi scores number 3, he puts his hands on his head.....I know this because it was me.....I thought it had go...

Re: BFTG Burton

Well that was fun. The weather and the quality of the game were both awful......However, I was massively impressed with our grit, fight and will to win tonight. It wasn’t pretty, it was far more direct than normal under Stam...BUT it worked. I don’t think the passing style has been thrown out the wi...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (h) sponsored by still no Saturday home win this season

Thing is, despite the fact I’ve been Stam in all season, I can really see us going down. Reminds me so much of 10 years ago as we drifted out of the Prem. We were doing ok (in terms of being clear of the drop) but drifted towards the bottom 3 after Christmas. The closer we drifted to it, the more I ...

In for the Terrace. First trip there. Can’t go to Wednesday away (despite it being my closest geographical ground) so going to Burton instead. First time in a while I’ve seen a team home and away in a season. Be nice if we could contrive to win it......

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

A worthwhile read. http://www.ambernectar.org/blog/2018/01/report-city-0-reading-0/ Hull City = Reading FC Indeed, fair review of the game and Hull as a club.....Apart from the bit on the disallowed goal. On that, was lovely to see David Prutton and Chris Powell don’t know the laws. On Sky highligh...
