Re: Opposition fans back from the game

From Owls forum.. All football fans are the same... Posted 22 minutes ago I suppose the Sheffield Titanic just hit the iceberg of expectation. We have managed something others have failed to do. Taken top class strikers and rendered them unable to score. Only listened on the radio after driving to t...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brighton & Hove Albion (a) sponsored by Tinsmiths everywhere

Wow This thread is an embarrassment. At times we're slow, but after the opening 15 we needed to get control of the game. Sure we'll make mistakes which cost us, but that's part of the improvement process. Think of Boro under Karanka first season, think about where they are now, there are a lot of pa...

So Palace fans hate him, but what about QPR and Cardiff fans?

He's only 25 and has twice been bought/sold for £5m+

A case of needing the right set up to succeed?

Some guy on Facebook sent in the (nearly) winning entry: Popa the Romanian man Plays for Jaap Stam Strong as an Ox Quick as a fox Popa the Romanian man! #Popeye In fact, we need to run a quick competition to fix the middle three lines: He's Popa the Romanian man, x xx x xxx x, x x x x xx x x x x xx...

Re: Adrian Popa

With all this workrate we're hearing about, could he be a wing back?

Stam came as a die hard 4-3-3 man, but Conte seems to have convinced everyone that 3-5-2 is the way. Surely Illori and Blackett are signed to play in back 3s too.

Reading 5-a-side team

It struck me tonight watching Chelsea (lose) that they'd have one hell of a 5-a-side team with Kante or Matic playing along side Hazard, Pedro and Costa. So, who would make your Reading and all time Reading 5-a-side team? I'm going for (current): Al Habsi, McShane, Swift, Meite and Samuel All time: ...

Re: Danny Williams Out?

Although in fairness despite my well publicised reservations of Williams he's played well of late, certainly of a consistence unseen for a while. Even Ferguson disposed of Stam as he considered him a weak link ( at the time). No time for sentiment. To be a better team we need better players than we...

Re: Pop up ads

What does this have to do with the team? Due to (oxf*rd annoying) ads the team don't get discussed enough, therefore we can't confidently confirm who the escape goat is and, in turn, are not booing enough. Net result, sub optimum team motivation. Or... there's no forum for 'air your grievances' so ...

Pop up ads

Is anyone else getting seriously annoying pop up ads on the forum?

I've accidentally clicked onto them opening up new pages so many times now!

Any way that the ads can be kept to banners?

Owners right of course, but no harm asking ;)

+1 for the 3-5-2 idea, was thinking about it too yesterday.

Gunter or G Mac could work, Obita or Quinn on the left.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Arsenal (a) sponsored by Davy Crockett

Such a disappointing game... Negatives: Evans- We need to work out how he fits in. Kelly- Tough game but gave the ball away too often GMac- What has happened to him? Blackett: Sorry, but he's neither a centre back nor a full back- don't trust him Positives: Samuel: Pushed around the pitch but looked...

QPR AWAY Due to a fairly pathetic match and bftg thread heres a few bits from http://www.wearetherangersboys.com MOTM was goalkeeper Smithies,he reads the game superbly and stopped 2 goals by his quick reactions coming out. Polter assaulted most of the Reading team. i wish we had someone like their ...
