Re: Mentor for Stam/Turnaround consultant

Never going to happen. A new coach, maybe. But bringing in someone like you describe undercuts Stam's authority, sends mixed messages and clouds the leadership at the club. We've seen a few clubs bring in director's of football to 'help' the managers in their role (different to the normal dof role)...

Re: Mentor for Stam/Turnaround consultant

He’s stubborn, but I do get the feeling he’s open minded What the oxf*rd gives you that feeling? A few things I guess: -Taking the youth job at Ajax not a manager job immediately gives me the sense he wants to learn -Hiring Gilkes shows he doesn’t just want Dutchmen he knows -Playing 2 up front and...

Mentor for Stam/Turnaround consultant

I get the feeling the board of the club have decided Stam is their man; that he has the key attributes to succeed and it’s far better he learns and improves while at the club, than goes elsewhere to be the improved version. For what it’s worth, I like the plan; the players seem to like him and that’...

Come on Gourlay earn your money and get him out by Monday.

Re: Just a Suggestion: Macauley Bonne

I’ll see your Macauley Bonne, and raise you an Isaac Success. He’s a very good player already but Watford don’t have room for him at the moment. Love to take him on loan now we seem to have offloaded Beerens and Popa. http://aljazirahnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/watfords_isaac_success_celebra...

Is there ANYONE who disagrees with the following? -Bodvarsson must start -Richards must start -On form, Illori and Moore are he best two centre backs -Bacuna must start, and preferably in central midfield -Popa deserves a start -Barrow is a shoe-in on the left of the front 3 -Mannone is our best ke...

Sure The reasons for why I am still ‘Stam in’ at evest kept for another thread Whose idea was that?! He's a target man not a winger! Taking tips out of the Alan Pardew book of tactics Hound reckon...

Re: BFTG - Stevenage

Aaaaaww Im really sorry to hear that players on big wages are upset because the fanbase vent their frustrations at them. For their info it cost me with tickets, train travel etc around 100 notes. So just to be clear, because they’re on big money they’re not supposed to care? Yet, generally speaking...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a) sponsored by an FA Cup run needed to save the season

74' Attempt missed. Yann Kermorgant (Reading) right footed shot from the centre of the box misses to the left. Right, you're on the bloody transfer list! I don;t want any more shots in this game thank you, my Dutch Total Non-football System does not allow shots, you should have learnt that by now. ...

Re: The Watford Way/New Manager Impact

As with most things, it’s all in the execution. Watford’s strategy is definitely unusual, but it’s incredibly well done; clubs around Europe and great players as well as a managers coming in. What I do quite admire, is that when a player or manager is obviously not right, they get rid ASAP. I do won...

Luckily for them, their chairman isn't as much of a pussy as their fans.
