Barnsley fans do rate him.

Would be a really sensible signing by the club.

Which 3rd (4th) Striker?

I think most on here consider Jon Dadi to be a good 2nd striker option, he's never been prolific but can do a more than decent job for a mid-table championship side. Yann Kermorgant was an inspired signing, but turns 37 in November and frankly, should not have been offered the new contract. At Swans...

Re: Building for next season

Am I alone in thinking we really ought to play 3 at the back next season? •Blackett only has a hope if he plays as a three •Gunter would be great in a three and wouldn’t frustrate us like he does as full back •Obita, Richards and Watson would be better suited to wingback •Bacuna could be amazing as...

A proper pre-season fixture schedule would seem a must

As would an overhaul of the medical/sports science set-up.

Re: Building for next season

Agree with the Above Maff, But do the club regard Richards higher than Watson? From what I’ve seen, only Watson is close to Championship level... Blackett is a weird one; he’s potentially a quality left sided defender in a three, but if we’re going to play four at the back, there’s no place for him ...

Re: Where does the blame lie ; not the Owners ?

Blame lies with: Recruitment: Problem is, who don't know who calls the shots. We have been left with an injury prone, gutless team. It's the kind of thing that psychometric testing should illuminate, but a team with McShane, Gunter, Edwards (and led by Stam!!) ought not be so lacking in character, b...

Re: Building for next season

The things I think we miss, more than anything (and there is a lot) is a ball winning midfielder who is disciplined. Do we have anyone in the youth sides who could be this player?! Evans, Edwards and Kelly are not it, nor is Joey. Bacuna might be it, I just wouldn't trust him yet.

Re: Saturday

I don’t blame Clement for the mess he inherited. We certainly haven’t improved though. We showed more attacking intent against Leeds and Derby in the fag end weeks of Stam’s tenure than we have since Clement arrived. I hope we see some evidence of a positive approach on Saturday. What a disgraceful...

Just seen the goals.

The defending was PATHETIC

Two season plan needed, season one should be to buy 3 players who will run themselves into the ground for the team first and foremost. We NEED to change the attitude of the eleven on the pitch...

Re: Building for next season

Send Novakovic back out on loan to a Eredevision side Unless he signs a new deal before we let him go, he wouldn't return. Next season is last on his contract. Doubt if he doesn't get a chance here he'll sign again, which makes a loan less likely if we rate him but he isn't ready. Could be a stand ...

Re: Building for next season

We need a striker to compete with Bod A proper all-action ball winning midfielder in the mound of Fernandinho, Kante, Wanyama, Ndidi Competition on the wing for Aluko. Ideally loan in case McCleary gets back. This will be unpopular, but Id love us to sign a keeper. Goalkeepers are SO underrated in a...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

I think this will be a tougher game than we envisage. The pressure is off them as they're safe so they're likely to have a right go at us. I actually think we should play 5 at the back and keep ourselves solid. Who'd be in that back 5 though? Neither Aluko or Barrow are defensive at all, the idea o...

Sorry strap, but that comes across as borderline racist there. Plus there is no Rooney rule in English football. Oh please! Best man/woman (happy?) for the job, NOT quotas based on race, religion, gender, gender orientation, physically disability, mentally disability, (have I missed any "minor...

Re: BFTG Fulham

HMS Shambles well and truly sailed with Green and my attempts to negotiate the capital last night. Met at the Exmouth Arms, a possible new Bree and with £15 dorms upstairs. Pint of Kinsale ale went down well as Green sat in early spring warmth waiting while I completely underestimated the distance ...

Re: BFTG Fulham

I have the experience of watching Reading for twenty years or so, which has given me a decent enough basis for recognising when football is good or bad. One thing I don’t have, is the experience and/or knowledge of someone who has worked in football coaching or management as a full time vocation. W...

BFTG Fulham

Mixed feelings after that game; we lost, we (occasionally) looked the more threatening, we have some serious rebuilding to do, we could have sneaked a draw... Ratings: Mannone: 7 Did his job well enough, would have been an 8 if he’d got lucky with their goal Gunter: 5 Needs to CLOSE DOWN. Richards: ...
