Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Put this one in here... see the agent of many current and ex Reading FC players including Tyler Blackett and Al Habsi has been sentence to 7 years in prison today - causing the death of a police officer and paralysing another whilst on his mobile phone driving excessive speeds on the motorway. Tried...

Re: VAR

Alan Shearer spot on last night. VAR should only be used for matter of fact. Ball in and out of play. Inside box, outside box, offside etc.

Everyone on numerous media feeds are still debating whether they were penalties or not. That in itself says it won’t work.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (h) sponsored by it all changing for the better at last

It's that time of year again when the "cool school" all come out to bash a bloke who is doing no harm to anyone, bit of fun profile and he is actually a decent man to be fair. Same applies to Low who has improved ten fold since the beginning of last year, but hey its cool to bash. Nobody ...

I am warming to Craig Bellamy - would be happy with that - however first choice by a country mile is Nigel Pearson.

Re: Who could replace Stam?

We just need another six or seven wins to definitely be safe this season. To that extent, we need someone short term to 'Fire fight'. If we were in less danger of going down, I'd like to see Gilkesy given a go until the summer. We'd definitely utilise wingers under him! Gilksey was ineffective and ...

Re: Theoretical: Sack Stam and replace with ...?

I was all for Pearson when we sacked McDermot in 2016 before Stam was appointed. Pearson went to Derby and I thought they would be dangerous. But his spell at Derby was an absolute shambles, so I'd be very wary of getting him in now. Club chairman getting involved with the team, Pearson hot headed ...

Again, whether he would come is questionable.

Portsmouth fans hated him. Described as Turgid and lucky to get them up on resources he had compared to others.

Re: BFTG Barnsley

First away game for me in a long time. Don't think I will bother going again for a while. We were utterly devoid of creativity, bar one decent cross which resulted in our goal. Their equaliser infuriated me. A full back who played regularly under Van Gaal at United decides in injury time to complet...

Re: BFT £&*@!! - Burton

As I told Ady on BBC Berkshire during the post match reaction, we need to have a little patience as Rome really wasn’t built in a day. We’ve had 7/8 manager stints in the past 7 years and it’s got us absolutely bloody nowhere. Stam is playing a style of football that is closest to emulating that of...
