Re: Confirmed Lewis Baker on Loan

Perhaps a true reflection of how poor our options were previously. Better than, though not the ultimate solution. The options have been poor. Rinomhota has improved things but Swift remains an enigma. Will we see Ezatolahi play for us again? For now this looks our strongest midfield if all three ar...

Re: Confirmed Lewis Baker on Loan

Just don’t understand this kind of post. One of many. Has it not occurred to anyone that the current midfield dynamos are just not very good and need a kick up the backside. Replaced with new energy, better schooling etc? Just a thought. Consensus seems to be that Rinomhota and Swift are our two be...

Re: Confirmed Lewis Baker on Loan

Last couple of loans have gone badly for him. Maybe this one will go better. Very talented player, just needs the right manager to get the most out of him. Saying that, the squad building this month makes little sense. I see how we could fit in one of the two loanees, but they seem to be very simil...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

When will the Chronicle realise its time to bin off Courtney. The shockers that bloke has had and made himself look like an absolute fool today. I am beginning to think he is a bit like our Kes. Through enough sh1te and suggestions one of them sticks and claim credit. The "whats our kit" g...

Re: New Manager

Honestly think the club just need to stump up for Jokanovic. Fulham were in a similar position to us when he took over and he got them promoted. I think it would raise attendances from the off, the football would be better, the atmosphere around the club would improve. It's a no brainer for me. All...

Re: New Manager

To be honest, every option seems at best to be a bit meh from where I'm standing. There's not a single one that makes me think "That would be a great appointment". I'd love to see an appointment that can build something but the priority must be not getting relegated. It's a shit position ...

Re: New Manager

Odds for Slavisa Jokanovic fascinates me because at 20/1 seems an outsider but that is exactly who we should be going for. Excellent track record, rescued teams, promoted teams, knows the league, exciting football and is available. Its a no brainer. Reading FC - what are you doing? Get this done and...

Re: New Manager

It should be Jokanovic but will take Parky all day long. We aint got the players for this style of football everyone seems to be craving. We are in a relegation dog fight and what man would you want in the trenches with you to lead you out, has to be Parkinson. Suggest everyone does some research an...

Re: New Manager

Parkinson it is then.

The legend finally comes home.

We should all welcome him with open arms, embrace his style and passion and roar the boys up the table.

This maybe, just maybe will be an inspired choice. Fits and suits everyone.

No more talking, welcome home.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Bit of an interesting standoff going on between our local journo's and even ex ones.

Watts putting knife in with his scoop, Smith good as ruling that out and convinced we have certain targets (but now deleting and re-editing his tweets as not to lose face and JLow is laying low.

Re: New Manager

To me it shows he has achieved average results at big clubs with a lot of spending (2 promotions, 1 playoff loss, 2 relegations). Taking established mid table in prem Sunderland down and failing to get Villa up with a budget way above anyone else in the league is not an impressive record. In only 3...

Re: New Manager

we are lucky at this time that there are some decent managers at lower league clubs who would jump at the chance of coming here or some quality managers who are out of work. Steve Bruce falls into this category. His track record apart from lack of loyalty in his early days is very impressive with ta...
