Different?

Last night was Myles Roberts. No chance with the goal. Solid and not that much to do in terms of shot-stopping. . They tried putting about 8 men in the 6 yard box for a late corner but he / we survived.

Re: Berks and Bucks Senior Cup 2018/19

BFTG Flackwell Heath Did well to win this 2-1. Supposedly U23s but I hadn't heard of half our starting XI. Sloping, bobbly pitch and the opposition were up for it. Gave away a goal with the most terrible pass across the face of our goal - Omolabe I think - then lost Nolan to injury, screaming in ago...

Let's hope we get a big fine for late return - or player gone missing.

Re: Playing the Librarian

Thanks - good ones, notably Smith and Watson. Hey, one day we might have Holmes and Watson in the same defence. Cue headline - 'Clueless Royals'.

Is Gravenbench still one of us?

Playing the Librarian

Like a half-asleep librarian I haven't been keeping track of all the loans going in and out so for my, and others maybe, benefit, can the TB give us a full update please? I've got: LOANS IN Oliveira Ejaria Baker Miagaza (sp) Martinez Eza?? LOANS OUT Meyler - Cov McNulty - Hibs Osho - Gas Legg - Ward...

I was there. They were walking some of them in.

Worse than any home League defeat EVER suffered at Elm Park.

Nice touch of humanity from the club to play the Terry & June theme before KO as a tribute to the recently departed June.

It was May 2000 when she entertained us all at the end of the URZ season.

Re: CONFIMRED José Gomes

Seems to be a case of any Portuguese in a storm. The Reading job was offered to two middleweight (at very best) Portuguese managers who nobody round here had ever heard of. Including Nigel Howe, I suspect. 'Fit with the Reading mould' - ha! Why is being Portuguese the absolute top priority? Because ...

Re: New Manager

Gomes 1/20 with Sky, think it'll be announced today . With a huge sigh we'll just have to see what happens, if we start winning he'll be ok , if not, he'll be gone by the end of the season. Always amazes me that these bizarre appointments are done without any consultation or thoughts of the lifeblo...

From the wide variety of suggestions leaked or floated it seems to me that at least three parties think they are in charge of the recruitment process - Nigel, spivy agent and owner.

I don't want to sound too mercenary but do we get some wedge out of this on account of some sell-on transfer clause the great Nick H stuck into some long ago deal??

McShane?

Meyler?

Re: MATCHWATCH : Brentford (a) sponsored by one pub on each corner

It's hard to see us getting anything from this game, after all, they have won all their home games. That said, we have only lost one away so there's hope. Records get broken. They aren't going to win every game at home, are they? Actually Brentford won all 21 home league games in 1929-30, an all ti...

Re: I think I’m done - just can’t watch this lot anymore

Its not just this season and last season, its years and years. For me its duty not pleasure. 100 mile round trip by public transport last night when i could have done red button. Regrets? More than a few. First 30 mins awful as per usual. Then next 30 mins we gradually built momentum and i thought w...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

It says in my online copy of the Observer, which I hate, that the Agony in Orange at Ewood this Wednesday will be available via the Sky Red Button. It's hard to trust a Sunday paper that can’t even show the football results but there is a chance this might be true. Views? If true, does it block the ...

Smith - First Reading player to go on loan to the pox for years??

In the Hammond years I think we must have had an embargo on any direct transfer dealings with them. Then Rob Dickie went straight there this year. All down to that Tiger?
