Re: Who do you consider to be a rival?

Mutual rivals, it has to be Aldershot. But they recognise that ( even in our current disarray) we are out of their league and their rivals are currently Woking. That could change :( Otherwise, it is Swindon, whose mutual rivals are Oxford, but we would probably be number 2 for them, certainly for o...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

Following tonights defeat for Leicester, they have 12 games remaining and a possible total of 114 points still achievable. We now need Leicester to drop at least 9 points, meaning they gain no more than 27 points from a possible 36. 27 Points can be achieved with either of the following. 9 wins, 0 d...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

So 13 games remaining and a possible total of 117 points still achievable. To retain the record outright, we need Leicester to drop at least 12 points, meaning they gain no more than 27 points from a possible 39. 27 Points can be achieved with either of the following. 9 wins, 0 draws, (4 defeats) 8 ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Portsmouth (a)

I think we dished it out at the time. Which is surprising for Derby in particular, given we were poorly run at the time and clearly at risk of going in the same direction. When it was Pompey, it was just one of those things that happened to other clubs which we didn't feel at risk from. I feel with...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

I've been taking my son since he was around 3 and a half, but more for my benefit than his. As others have said, take lots of snacks and be prepared to go to the toilet on a regular basis. I also took ear muffs, and and ipad and headphones. As time went on he would watch more of the football, and sp...

Re: Nostalgia thread

Got some luck though as was out with mates for the Brighton home game which was also on Sky but wasn't in a pub that was showing the game but another mate was. Think I may have ended up there later but the game had finished by then, so my winning run wasn't ruined! Just discovered that the final re...

Losing 2-0 against Fulham in April 2008 in a relegation 6-pointer was arguably what led to our relegation that year.

Re: EFL Cup third-round draw will take place in Beijing at 04:15 BST on Thursday

They should draw the home teams on the Tuesday, the away teams on a Wednesday, and then do another special draw on the Thursday to swap round the fixtures a bit so they suit the TV audiences.

I'm new to hobnob so sorry if this is old hat but can anyone tell me just how the football club and I mean the team will benefit from the development both in the short and long term. :?: The club did a survey and found out that folks are more likely to come to games if they can have a cheeky nandos...

Re: 2017/18 Championship Fixtures

Stranded
tidus_mi2 I guess that also means we will have played Fulham for two consecutive home fixtures, that surely doesn't happen very often.

Only if you ignore the Gillingham game.

We also played Preston in two consecutive home fixtures with the last game of the 15/16 season and the first of last season.
