Re: BFTG Brentford

In all seriousness do you not feel league 1 could benefit the club right now. Get a winning mentality back and just some kind of character this season has absolutely killed my passion off a lot of you are forgetting this is Sheff United's first season back in the second tier and they could well be ...

Re: BFTG Brentford

Don't, or if you do wear plenty of layers. It's always, and I do mean ALWAYS, cold there. I only want to go to Oldham if someone scores a Simon Osborn lob. In all seriousness do you not feel league 1 could benefit the club right now. Get a winning mentality back and just some kind of character this...

Re: February

Can we get this thread going a bit more please - it's now looking like we might be involved in a relegation fight if this month doesn't go at least averagely well for us. Let's see who the optimists and realists are among you lot.

Rumour - Hogan Ephraim

Looking for a new club could be a cheap option up top for us as a free agent. I know a lot of Championship clubs are looking at him, especially Brentford with him being a London boy.

Could be worth a pint - I mean punt?

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Can’t see what we have over Sunderland. Personally I don’t think he’d go to us if he doesn’t want to join Sunderland... We may be having a bad season, Sunderland are an absolute basketcase of a club. When you have fans calling for Coleman to leave, to save his own reputation, it gives you an idea o...

Bad experience, John?

It was the way he looked at me.

Not really, they didn't serve John Smiths.

Re: RUMOUR: Jose Artiles

If he can also play left back, I can understand that we could sign him to cover that position. Perhaps Beerens is on the move, as he has not signed an extension to his contract like Van der Berg, and will be out of contract this June. Perhaps... Or perhaps this is a load of bollocks as there's no s...

Re: Team for Brentford

Clement needs to improve fast before being considered with ever being mistaken for a professional footballer again. Aluko should fill Swift's role. Kelly is better deeper but lacks the build to be a defensive midfieder. JVB and Evans should anchor the midfield. Perhaps drop Mcleary and play Bod ins...

Don’t we.

Re: Starting XI

Nearly everyone agrees with most of the above except Stam WTF do you want to keep a manager who has spent the entire season refusing to accept the blindingly regarding team selection, style of play and tactics? By making 10 changes to last nights starting 11, he effectively played what he sees as h...

Re: Sheffield Wednesday (A) FA CUP 4th Round

I am looking at going, this will be my first time to Hillsborough, and I will be attending on my own. Do we tend to drink in the city centre beforehand or are there pubs near the ground? There's some excellent pubs in the city or nearby. Kelham Island is a great spot for the ale connoisseur. If you...

Hearing Chelsea are now linked with Peter Crouch and Andy Carroll. Clear evidence that they're not backing Conte this window and his time will certainly be up in the summer

Re: VAR

If it's not going to prove conclusive then why have it? It's just the same as having a referee. I agree the cultural change needs to happen with more respect to the ref, especially from pundits, but this can only happen by going by the decision he thinks is right. It's not going to be conclusive in...

Re: VAR

People recoil at the concept of following rugby's lead, but TMO works perfectly. Essentially the TMO operates first independently of the referee, so when a decision is made, TMO might say 'ref, you should have a look at this again, I think his foot went out of play'. Second, TMO acts as an assistan...
