Re: Programme this season

All programmes seem to be a bit shit now. Victims of the immediacy of the net?. That's all it is. I was close to a few members of the media team a few years ago and video/social content is all that matters these days. Back in the day the programme was their sole concern so the digital age has taken...

Re: Who do we want, then?

Possibly Huddersfield due to their lack of experience in the play-off final But whoever we are going to play in the final I am quietly confident we could win, it's not like facing Swansea a few years back which they were clearly the favourites... What about Sheffield Wednesday's recent experience i...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

point is Jaap out tactic'd their boss in both legs. The reason they were nowhere near what they have been in the last 2 months is we had a plan, which worked. Twice. And their boss had no idea how to counter it. As pointed out, we were missing Obita (massively important in the context of the game, ...

Re: Tinpot

There must be a way for us to play on the 'tinpot' image the other fans like to project on us . I'm not sure I have the answer but I it will be really annoying for them if we come up with something! :P Someone needs to photoshop a 'tin' of Tesco value beans, dented and mangled but with the stripes ...

Re: The Non - League thread

I did Barrow a few years ago in the FA Trophy. We took 15. It was Bottom in the NLN v 2nd bottom in the NLS. How times change quickly! Sideways rain & the only person on the open terrace behind the goal. it was a long day, but a memorable one. Trips to these kind of places are so much better wi...

Re: Away allocation for home play off game

Some of the best atmosphere's experienced at the Madjeski have been at games where the away end has been packed with away fans - it's not a coincidence. A stand half full of empty seats isn't going to be inspiring anyone, including our own fans. For me, the best of recent times was Bradford in the ...

Re: Pub for the play off away semi?

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit I forgot about the Arsenal game. Are we all sure the Walkabout will be showing the Reading game on the big screen? It's just the sort of things those c*nts would do - show the Arsenal game instead whilst we get relegated to a tiny screen with no sound. Yep, it's liste...

Re: The Non - League thread

You have some great games to look forward to next year. The pick perhaps being Maidenhead v Leyton Orient What a turnaround in fortunes! The Wealdstone season ticket price is £75 for next season. I snapped one up. Maidenhead have been the cheapest in the NLS for a few years at £10 & made a bold...

Re: Pub for the play off away semi?

Walkabout with the big screen is a pretty good idea, normally dead in there at that time as well unless the football is on. Was in Walkabout for the Joshua Klitschko fight - was absolute mad. Mental scenes and great atmosphere. This is true. I went to an old firm game there with Berkshire Rangers w...

I fully expect, as a veteran of many European two-legged ties himself, he will be all about caution, and not conceding many in the away leg of the play-offs. Whether they'll succeed or not, is a different question. And there you go :D Stam on the two legs: "You need to go in with a different m...

Re: Pub for the play off away semi?

Away Tickets sold out - lets all meet at the pub I've missed out on tickets like many. I don't want to sit at home watching by myself really and it would be nice to go to the pub instead. I think we should all try to choose a pub to go to so there's a decent crowd or pub filled and some atmosphere....

All this talk of "it's a completely different game in the play-offs", "they were 6th for a reason", "the pressure will be on them" etc. just masks the fact that they are a damned good team, probably the best in the Championship in the last half of the season (no stats ...

Possibly top 5 too. Jose's doing a great job but what's he got that the preceding managers were sacked for lacking? Lol Please please please please please Ajax beat them in the final. Go on. Please. One thinks ajax will beat them. They looked lethal vs Lyon and have a very exiting young team Cheers...
