Re: Rumour - Phil Parkinson

Firstly, you seem to be working on the assumption we're better than bottom Championship level, we're not. Yes we are. It's not 1993 anymore I know it's not 1993, I'm aware it's 2018, whilst you don't seem to have moved on from 2013. Three out of four seasons in the bottom 7, with another looking li...

Re: Injury & Suspension Watch : 2018/2019

Is Popa actually still in the squad - I'd somehow assumed he'd been loaned out or sold ... Injured Harriott on verge of playing. Finally competition for the wide positions. Long overdue. And a not quite match fit McCleary looked much better and offered more than Aluko. But then his game is much mor...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I want to hear from the organisers from last year on what they think the high points and low points have been, and their honest opinion on it, What do they think has gone well or badly? Do they think they should carry or on not? What would they do differently? Where are they and who even are they? ...

Strange, cos only 4% of people in my poll think Millwall will go, whereas 18% think we will. Baffling.

Boxing Day will be interesting.

Re: The Local Journo Thread

did see one of the points in JLow's 'things you might have missed' was that Garath McCleary played on Saturday. I feel sorry for him because he is a man doing a job and trying to do it well. I really don't want to criticise him because I couldn't do his job. But then I also see it's clear he's just...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

There's no decision to make, it was made months ago. The club has sold season tickets there. They're committed for the season. Personally I think that’s a mistake. I would have thought the club should have been more flexible and suggested a three month trial at the start of this season with a view ...

I hope somebody From the club will be held accountable and disciplined for that decision. That is an utterly ridiculous comm...

I have absolutely no doubt that this is the case.

Maybe if and when Clement writes an autobiography we might find out what is really going on.

We all do, but I guess the irony of you taking people to task about the standard of non league football, when you watch the rubbish served up by RFC, may have passed you by. I'm not taking anyone to task. I love non-league but I think there is a limit to the standard anyone can watch, especially gi...

On this day in 2003 we beat Preston 3-2 at home. Nicky Forster scoring a late winner! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/3187032.stm One of the great matches at the Madejski. Preston were flying and filled the away end with a noisy contingent. Surprised to see the attendance was onl...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Makes sense really. Frank, though, may be the only manager to ever resign after the club chairman logged on to a fans forum under a pseudonym to insult him. I wouldn't speak too soon...big Ron G might be making a Hobnob account as we speak! Who goes first John, Gourlay or Clement? Clement, without ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

So are Brentford sticking with Thomas Frank? Yeah probably a wise move. Will keep things more or less status quo and knows all of the players. If it ain't broke don't fix it. Makes sense really. Frank, though, may be the only manager to ever resign after the club chairman logged on to a fans forum ...
