Re: Clement

Clement officially OUT for me now. I understand the not wanting to chop and change managers all the time but if he's the wrong appointment he's the wrong appointment. Clement won't save us and I don't see him hanging about in League One, nor would I particularly want him to. And what makes you thin...

If you have to sack a manager after only 20-odd games then whoever hired him in the first place should be out the door too. Another black mark for Ron

Yeah he's oxf*rd shit. But it was the owners who appointed him. Do you have faith in them to appoint anybody better if they got rid? Sounds like they saw Chelsea on his CV and hired him

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Does anyone know if last years shirts are on sale? They've been removed from the listings page but the product pages are still available via the URL. Unless they've got some kind of buy-back agreement with Puma they'll need to get rid of them somehow, and the fact that they've not deleted the produ...

Re: Rumour: Jaakkola to Rotherham

Slightly off-topic but when Stam was appointed there was a rumour that the players who came in immediately after (Jaakkola , JVdB) all had the same agent as Stam and the rumour was that they were signed as a makeweight to the agent to get Stam in. Interesting that a) those players are some way below...

Re: CONFIMRED: Darren Sidoel

Sounds like he'll be in the U23s. I reckon Clement has more important things to do than decide which youth player we take a punt on next. The only reason we've heard about this one is because the media intern got bored and decided to write about it

Re: Next seasons kit choice?

Clearly lots of excess stock of last year's left. If they don't want to sell on the cheap to the masses how about offer them to ST holders on the cheap as a "reward"?

Re: Ashley Williams

Guys, I had enough of all the premature transfer policy whinging in the O'Shea thread, let's not do it again. So we all need to be happy about signing very expensive, old centre backs? No! Ian Royal strawmanned me with that last time. Just relax and wait to see what happens. If the window sh...

Re: Gourlay

RE: REP - my understanding is that the club (and by extension the new owners) only own a minority (25%?) stake in the holding company which now owns the land. The rest is still owned by the Thai's(?). If that is the case then I don't think the project has much to do with "Reading Football Club&...

I hope somebody behind the scenes has got everything planned between now and August. Pre-season last year was a shambles for all to see; no friendlies, panicked transfers, pitch not ready, even the kit wasn't ready until the week before the season...

They're not creating atmosphere they're just sapping it from other areas of the ground. Can't stand those narcissistic w@nkers

Re: Safe standing progress

Sadly, it'll need somebody standing up in a seated area at a game to topple over to their death before the government will take their fingers out of their ears and listen. You can't force 1000s of people to sit down if standing as is the case in most games these days. Logistically impossible. Theref...

Barnsley have a very winnable game in hand against Forest. If they win that the gap is back to 2 points. Not close to being safe yet.
