Re: New beefeater

If the right kind of pub / restaurant was built it would surely also make a killing during the week with the businesses in the area  places like the holiday inn are busy at lunch in the week for this reason.

Re: The Next 8 games - Make or Break Time

Can see some very confident points returns from other posters. Realistically expect our home form to improve but those away games are actually pretty tough. I think we will get 12 points. I'd say 12 is the least we need. Our last 10 games are difficult. Bolton (a) - D - will be tough. A physical Bo...

Re: New Manager

IMO if they wanted a Portuguese set up - Paulo Sousa would have been inspiring. He’s without a club too - so no compo. Jose Gomes appears an expensive gamble and his track record does not inspire me; he would really need to hit the ground running following fans concerns. We do have some egotistic pl...

Re: New Manager

We’ve been spun so much so called ‘ambition’ these past 8 or so years. It’s actually insulting how the current and previous owners perceive what they believe the fans actually want from their football club

Re: New Manager

Baffled if this happens. There’s literally a dozen out-of-work managers with experience of either clawing teams away from relegation, or gettting teams promoted in the EFL... and we appear to poaching this guy who is contracted to another club, whilst not actually achieving much at all on his record...

Re: New Ma

I wonder if those responsible for sacking Clement last week have admitted in past eight days “We’ve made a big mistake - we shouldn’t have sacked Paul Clement. “ With Plan A falling through and seemingly no Plan B, the club have messed things up and have incredibly made the team weaker than they we...

Re: New Manager

Given the club's precarious position it's staggering to the point of being unbelievable that PC was given the boot without their being an immediate replacement lined up. Very few teams in history have performed better when rudderless. The buck stops firmly with Howe (a terrible restart and no way t...

Re: New Manager

 MON is far more successful in club football than the names being touted, aside from this Vitor Pereira bloke. And George Graham and Howard Wilkinson are more successful than Martin O'Neill. Would you suggest them? No I absolutely wouldn’t. But there’s a reason O’Neill has consistently been in...

Re: New Manager

To be honest, every option seems at best to be a bit meh from where I'm standing. There's not a single one that makes me think "That would be a great appointment". I'd love to see an appointment that can build something but the priority must be not getting relegated. It's a shit position ...

Re: New Manager

Do we seriously see us paying compo for Parky  When there are managers like Steve Bruce, Carlos Carvahal, Martin O’Neill, Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew currently looking for jobs?! Im far from convinced. I think we’re in for a few more twists and turns as this plays out. I’ll get behind Parky i...

Re: New Manager

I’m not feeling the Luís Castro love in. Yes, he’s Portuguese. What contacts does he have over here? I just see signings of lesser known overseas players with him and Nani at the helm. We haven’t got the money to do a Wolves  I’d be so happy if Martin O’Neill got the job. I really think he wo...

Re: Gourlay out.

Yeah, obviously if you pay a mediocre player top wages, it doesn't make them a top player. I think the problem is we've not made any concerted effort to reduce the wage bill on relegation this time. Unlike after we went down with Coppell. We've consistently said we're going to sustain our spending,...

Imagine the scenes if Gourlay gets a double sponsorship for both the kit and the stadium naming rights with Macron. Or maybe it's the newly found Italian connections.

If we start any of these games like we did against Ipswich; there will be some embarrassing scorelines

I see 4 pts from that lot. Draw at Wigan and we'll beat Rov'rum
