Re: BFTG Wednesday (a)

We are a shit show. But our defence has improved; and its probably largely down to Gibbs return. I also think over the summer we will get some fight and desire back in the squad. Im fine with us getting poor match stats - as long as we get results, that's all that matters to me. A la 2012 when Gibbs...

Clement very honest and admits if he was a supporter, he wouldn't have clapped the team off.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

This group let Stam down.

This group are letting Clement down.

Simple as that, really.

Get your clappers ready for Ipswich next Saturday... lose that and i fear there will be nasty scenes.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Sheffield Wednesday (a) sponsored by c'mon URZ

Performance-wise, we really haven't had that much of a 'managerial bounce' under Clement, which worries me... 100% agree. Very little has changed. The only major thing being we don't know what the tactics will be when we inevitably lose. 3-0  It's the group. Does he drop our only 2 available ...

Re: Building for next season

With Meite and Novakovich coming back (hopefully) we will have ready made replacements for Mcleary and Mendes who will both be off. Harriott may also be able to prove good as a back up for Barrow, who must be shattered tbh. I don't see the club offloading Edwards or Evans or Kelly. But I can see Joe...

Re: BFTG Sunderland

Most entertaining afternoon at the Madejski for some time imo. Thought we did enough to win it. Did enough to lose it. Moore was my MOTM. Edwards was SH!T imo. I'm singling him out as I don't think he brought anything to that game. Could have played it with 10 and not noticed. I do think we miss the...

Did he really

Was that because he replaced Shteve Mclaren in June?

A French / German tour would be my pick. But with the club releasing details at the end of May; instead of July for a change.

Pre Season 2018/19

Around 10 to 12 weeks until our pre season begins. Quite rightly, Clement has suggested, it's all about getting over the line for the remaining 3 weeks of the season. But then our attention can switch to building something competitive for the 2018/19 campaign. World Cup fever will still be in full f...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Fulham (a) sponsored by nothing to lose

More than happy to gift the points to Fulham if it pushes Cardiff into the play offs. As will make the last game of the season a non event for Cardiff. Even Warnock won't wish to take any chances with his players. Also will deflate the atmosphere. Wouldn't want to need points from that game if it's...

Re: BFTG - Preston -Home

Welcome back Nigel Gibbs :D Personally I can see remnants of the style we played in 2012 creeping back in (Get completely outplayed for nearly the entire match but somehow still manage to grab 3pts  ) We are developing a backbone again. No more suicidal pass backs. Purposeful passes and players...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Aston Villa (a) sponsored by a night out in the Midlands

Thanks Sutekh, great write up as always. As you say, not expecting much. I think Clement will need to rotate and I see Evans coming in, possibly Pelle and maybe Smith up top. Smith will be an unknown quantity for Villa (much like Mendes was last season) and if he does start hopefully Aluko and Barro...

Re: CONFIRMED - Yakou Meite

With Beerens gone - and Gmac crocked.

I hope we will be giving both Meite and Novakavich a chance in pre season at the very least. Sounds like both of those two have enjoyed really progressive loan spells. As both their respective international call ups highlight.

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

I'm bored with possession football as well. We should give it to the opposition and enjoy their play instead. Isn't that what we've been doing under 4 of the last 5 managers? We do the possession, they do the enjoyable actual footballing stuff, you know, like scoring goals Yeah, having read a few D...

Exactly how much style coaching do the likes of Ronaldo need? Not exactly champ plodders on a wet tuesday night in Burton is it.... I thought everyone pretty much agreed that good coaches =/= good managers I am bored of possession football. Bored, bored, bored If the style of play stays the same un...

Re: New Manager Press Conference 12pm today

I'll be delighted if it is. I think people are underestimating what Clement has achieved for some of the world's biggest clubs, most importantly, coaching a similar playing style to our own. And Right now, we need the best from the players we have got. Best choice out of the options to be suggested....
