Re: Anyone For Chinese?

Snowflake Royal
Greatwesternline
Snowflake Royal iirc it won an award not long after completion

Best mid-sized European sports Arena as awarded by ESPN US if I remember correctly.

That's the chappie

It's quite unusual in that the outside and concourse are above the pitch, so disabled fans can get in and be at a level to get a decent view.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Some are talking about Bearwood and the Academy being too expensive in L1 but I disagree. Surely the Academy can be a very profitable entity if you have owners with money. If it’s profitable why would you need owners with money to keep it afloat The problem is an academy is profitable based on club...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I know I should be skeptical, but this does feel like the one. Not much room for Dai to move the goalposts as the stadium needs a club with it. It seems like Pang and Dai are involved given the training ground sale, plus I trust Earnshaw not to report it without covering off this point. The main bl...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

People have been crying out for us to be sustainable. Now a potential buyer is trying to buy us in a form with affordable costs, everyone is questioning it. If you buy Reading with Bearwood and everything, you need to stabilise as a Championship club quickly to make sense. Do we want owners who mak...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Reading are in advanced talks with a North American group to buy the club, Sky Sports News understands. The prospective deal would see the club change hands and their ground – Select Car Leasing Stadium – would also be sold. Just goes to show what an utter disgrace Dai is, if a deal to buy the club...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Wigan sold the training ground they bought from Bolton to Preston when they were in the poo, they still got a buyer. The club statement yesterday stating there will be an announcement in due course about alternative training arrangements, whether that`s BS on their part to take the heat out of the ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

Can someone from SBWD or STAR let us know what is going to happen to funds raised "to save the club" this month or to "pay for a staff party" before Christmas? It is not needed by the club now, so will the donors be reimbursed? They could offer to use the cash to hire portaloos ...

Mid Sussex Royal We trained in Prospect Park well into the 1980's

Football was a different game then than it is now, with Sports Science, nutrition, better levels of fitness, and better tactics. Trying to do that on a park pitch is a big ask.

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

Where exactly do they think Reading are going to training after it's sold? There's clearly no plan at present. Other than renting our facilities back off them all the alternatives are pretty dire for a professional team.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

The club is nothing but a liability, with no assets except the players, most of whom leave on a free at the end of the season.

No Stadium, no car park, and now no training ground. Who's going to buy that?

Blaming the Wycombe owner and asking people to go to Adams Park to protest. Silly move imo Did you expect them to say to Wycombe - sure come and get all our stuff at knock down prices, we're desperate. It was bound to trigger anomosity. I for one will loathe Wycombe for these actions from this poin...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Do the club own the training ground or is it another company linked to Dai? ie if he sells the training ground for £20m presumably that money goes to him not to the club. It's still up to him if he gives any of these funds to the club to complete the season. There was a useful picture someone posted...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Knowing a little bit about insolvency protocol one massive no no is hiving off assets prior to any form of insolvency process beginning. If D*I thinks he can flog Bearwood for mega money (or any money!) and then he walk away HMRC take the dimmest view known to man on people who do that. They will p...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wycombe Wanderers (h)

It was inevitable we'd lose that, shit ref, a team programmed to win free kicks and waste time, and an insipid Reading performance.

Just when we needed a good win with a big crowd we feebly fade into a pathetic loss against another shit team, it was Fleetwood all over again.

I'd prefer they boot Cardiff and Swansea out of the EFL to play in their own Welsh league.

Quite how they still report to FAW despite playing in England baffles me

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

On another note - the news over the past few days - there are 2 readings into it 1. The club truly is utterly screwed and money will definitely run out in the next couple of weeks unless they can source funding or 2. This is all part of a plan to try and get some momentum going. Over the past few d...

Having read all these latest updates i think it's time i dipped in my pocket and sorted the club out till the end of the year....I've had my eye on the Purple Turtle kit all season, it's time to click buy. And i think I'll stream the last few games of the season too, so there we go, the club will b...

Re: Bristol Rovers (A) - DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

Got an email about the new date and we have till Monday to request a refund before they issue tickets for the rearranged date. It does smack a bit of them try to get some cash in to help pay this months wages. Even though the money goes to Rovers, they'll of had it for 6 weeks.

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

It just needs one buyer show some urgency and force the issue. The company I work for has done a few acquisitions in the past few years, and they generally move slowly until somebody with authority decides they want it to be done, at which point it gets done. You may not get the perfect deal, but y...
