BFTG Millwall Home

Well that was a nice 3 pts, we rode our luck and somehow came away with a win. It was pretty even before Meite scored, a nice move, cross and header into the corner. Before that it looked like they'd take one of the many chances that fell their way. After the goal we just sat back and let them play,...

Re: BFTG West Brom

As others have said we had a great first half and somehow completely capitulated in the second half. I injured my shin for the first goal, we really looked like we'd win. It all turned to shit with Walker watching a cross and a tap in then us being completely unable to defend set pieces. TBF the Bag...

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

I decided to stay at home and watch it on the red button, in hindsight a wise move. You could tell from the team selection and the first 3 minutes that we were a shambles. Some credit to QPR who we stood off and decided not to press so they could walk though us. On the other hand they worked their s...

BFTG Brentford away

I thought we were unlucky to not win that, a team with confidence at the other end of the table would have won. Their first goal looked well worked and well taken, there was nothing Walker could have done. Our equaliser was odd as it at the other end, a nothing shot looked to have been spilled and B...

Re: Who can save us

I think the best plan is to get a Mad Dog type character as an assistant to shout at everyone and put the players on a training regime to get fit enough to do a high press and at least give the impression of actually trying.

The players are the problem and they need their collective arses kicking.

Re: BFTG - Weds H

We're going down. If ever there was a sign that despite playing ok we leak a goal then are clueless to get back into it. You can blame luck but time after time teams get one chance and take it and then we are fooked. I can bitch about a poor preseason - going into the league without winning, but I d...

Re: BFTG - Aston Villa (A)

J-Low just mentioned Aluko's substitution yesterday, intrigued by this (shows how boring my life is), seemed bizzare that he walked off slowly considering we were 1-0 down at the time. Apparently there was a few jeers from our fans as he went off, can anyone who went elaborate on that or have a dif...

Re: BFTG - Aston Villa (A)

Pretty decent day out. First I would like to complain that the stewards wouldn't let us sit in our allocated seats in Q3 - they'd cordoned off the area, and instead offered us 3 seats together at the front. Why are they selling tickets in areas they don't want you to sit? In the end we found 2+1 sea...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Blackburn Rovers (a) sponsored by 3 league wins in 2018

I generally agree about McShane losing 2 points for us, the first pen he was just an idiot. The second looked dodgy to me, on the replay it looked like he went to ground and the attacker feigned to trip over him by not standing on him and ended up falling without contact. McShane gave him the chance...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

Just to add. I wonder about Clement

He dropped probably our best player in the previous games - Illori and started without Bod. In hindsight that wasn't a good move.

Re: BFTG - Bolton

We missed Barrow. Bolton took their chance, were cynical and organised and we had no answer. The ref didn't help but we really should have reacted to going 1-0 down. As it was we practically gave up. There were no stars today except maybe the Bolton keeper who saved our best chance. Not sure about t...

Re: Hammond

I thought he had zero input into selecting players, that's down to the manager and scouts. He just did the admin to get them signed. The most input he had for player selection was working through the list of 2 or 3 players that the manager wanted.

Re: BFTG Birmingham

An OK performance against the second string of one of the weaker Championship teams. For much of the second half Reading were ineffective, retreating into a Stam like shell of sitting deep and playing countless pointless cross field passes. Overall a justified result, but not the wholly convincing ...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

I was always a fan of McShane but seeing him at Forest was like watching Pearce run, his legs move quickly but he doesn't cover the ground.

We need Moore back.

Re: BFTG - Forest away

Just got back. As others have said I didn't think we deserved to lose that. From our end it looked like we gifted the chance to them after a defensive mix up. I thought the team played well and were perhaps guilty of over playing in the first half and we never had a final ball. If we'd just shoot an...
