I was hoping we'd sing "Jaap Stam.. he's won more than you"

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Quite amusing that the Villa fans were pointing out a few empty seats in the home areas while seeming to be oblivous of the empty seats in the away end. I never get this though Aston villa sold out near to 4000 tickets (or whatever that stand holds) on a Tuesday night. We had thousands upon thousan...

Re: The idiots of Twitter thread

To the morons on Twitter celebrating the fact Piazon broke his leg tonight: Get a life. Classless and shameful. so bad... my god there are some fcktards that support this club I came on here to post this. Absolutely beggars belief that some "fans" think it's appropriate to laugh or wish t...

Re: BFTG - Villa

we bossed them and were hungrier with much more quality. Agreed, I think we ran complete circles around them. Last year it was like we were doing it but with no purpose, more flaky, a bit unsure, plus AAH (who I love) was not as good as Vito at controlling the ball and distributing it back out. I a...

Good idea noting everyone's prediction in one post.

I'm going to go for 2-1 to Reading United

Re: New pitch

Was looking forward to a lucious green pitch, one that looked like this: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/ee/6b/04/ee6b0453608b27cad94bb89968b01bf0.jpg However, I was distinctly unimpressed. It was patchy in the corners, and really didn't look that good at all. Is it a case that the pitch needs time t...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

We played alright - this team now looks very, very comfortable on the ball Forgot to say that in my post - 100% agreed. I felt a lot more comfortable watching Mannone passing to the back 4 compared with last season with AAH and a more shakey looking team. I think we do look confident and we are loo...

Re: BFTG - Fulham

I don't think it is all quite as bad as some are making out, at least not yet and it's still early to tell. Especially with some first teamers out and new people being signed. After the red I could not believe what I was was witnessing. A fulham side hanging on for dear life - they needn't have both...

Re: Post Game Traffic

My self and my two boys (both under 10) went to get a few photos and autogrpahs from the players after the match and wandered back down to the 60f mereoak bus stop at 5.45. Not one bus came past until we gave up at 6.45. We walked back up to the stadium and some RFC staff rang the depot for us. The...

Loading was also slow, just loading one at a time whereas they used to load 2 or 3 at a time in town Did they? I've said before that some games were gut wrenchingly painful having to stand in line for 15+ minutes cold and sobering up whilst drifting past about 6 nicely warmed up buses until you rea...

Re: Heightened Security Measures

Pretty flabbergasted by this, can the OP really not think of a reason for the security? Same, I'm flabbergasted anyone who saw this did not immediately think "terrorism" and not "football violence prevention". The measures imposed took two of us around 8 seconds to get through -...

Re: Heightened Security Measures

If a terrorist was going to strike a football match, they'd choose one with 60,000 people rather than 6,000. It would be in a big city. That really is a terrible attitude to take with terrorism. There are no rules or boundaries. Having a domestic terrorism policy based on "they'd probably...&q...

Re: Post Game Traffic

I was on the Nags Head bus and it was like a badly and overly complicated orchestrated mission watching the organisers trying to release buses.

It's hard to properly judge the effectiveness as I was on the private pub bus, not sure what the normal town ones were like.

Re: Cup Draw

It's needlessly over complicated

Put ALL teams balls in big bowl

Person 1: pull out one ball (they are home).

Person 2: pull out one ball (they are away)

It's completely illogical to have a 3rd ball for home/away. It makes no sense. Nothing nada, nowt zero. It's got no purpose
