Re: Clement OUT!!!!

Clement is an adequate manager at this level and adequate for a club like ours. If we stick with him and allow him to build a team over the next few seasons, even if we drop down a division it will be the correct thing to do. There’s no quick fix that hasn’t been tried already. He needs to ship pla...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

It may work better if they moved to where the away fans are. Then it would merge with Y25 and Y26. However I think you'd lose the interaction with the away fans then. They'd be shouting, screaming and flicking the Vs at families and old people in the west stand who would spill their thermos flask an...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

An earlier poster mentioned that we are a club in decline.I counted 13 empty boxes yesterday. Not surprising when they want £2k more this season! The advertising revenue must be down judging by the hoardings around the ground. No adverts in the bogs. Where has the big screen gone outside the East st...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

I was well impressed with the Bolton fans today, thought they were really loud and travelled in far better numbers than I expected. My fears came true a little today, and that is that all the Y25 and Y26 loud mouths have moved to the South Stand. I guess that's debatable but the atmosphere was dread...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

I'm going to post my reactions and thoughts to the game here in reaction to everything I've read on the previous 4 pages. I am currently typing into notepad and will paste it exactly how it comes out... Swift - I thought he was quality, one of the best things about the team. It seemed that every bal...

Re: BFTG - Bolton

Also funny that I thought we looked far better than we did last season.. didn't we? We lacked so much today but seriously we were more organised and looked far better going forward...... it was abysmal in every other areas though...........

I believe I was there, a home game and I was sat around Y23. It was one of the most one sided games I've seen for ages. We were lucky to only lose 3-0 in that game

That's proper tickled me bobby  Tip: download the club's ical thingy. When the fixtures get fcuked about with it updates automatically. Though I wish they'd turn off the sodding 48hour reminder Hehe :P Was so annoying as my whole day had been planned around it, e.g. I got up early to sort some...

We're at home Saturday, no? Oh bloody hell, we are as well! I had it in my Google calendar as Bolton vs Reading... I even looked up train timings and considered going. ... To answer your original question, i believe it will happen at every league home game I would have bloody loved it if you had tu...

Re: Nottingham Forest (A)

We left Hooters on Sat and went for a couple in here. Oh my god. There were about 20 people in it and it didn't have the Spurs game on. Think I'll just stay in Hooters next time!! Glad to hear it wasn't just me. I had visions if it being a packed bar, a noisy atmosphere of people talking and gettin...

Re: BFTG - Forest away

We'll know a lot more after the Bolton game. A game we should go into and grip up, get the chances and take them. If we don't then it seems that not a lot has changed. If we go in and pass the ball around aimlessly until about 25 minutes in when Bolton realise we haven't got any striking power or in...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

I couldn't believe Clements comments that Moore hadn't been "fully" training and that's why he didn't start as he wasn't fit. What kind of answer is that? If Brighton were gonna pay through the nose for him are we saying he wasn't fit to start the season for them? He should have been read...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Total speculative shot in the dark here with zero substance, but I wonder if he's pissed off at Moore and wants to prove to him that we can do without him if we want to. I thought that, it makes sense with Moore saying "I look forward to trying to EARN a place back in the team". Two views...

Derby will need to sort out their act quickly but don’t see it happening. Lampard’s days numbered imho.

Leeds certainly do look very impressive, genuinely very good. However it's only 2 games in.

Anything could happen...
