Re: Dedryck Boyata

Video of him in a reading jersey on Danny loader’s story in a number 48 reading shirt. Do we have a number 48? Medford-Smith? He's not impressed me from the little I've seen. https://www.readingfc.co.uk/teams/u23-team/defender/ramarni-medford-smith/ Medford-Smith has kicked on recently tbf. Looking...

Re: The Academy/Development squads watch thread 2015//16

Cracking start for him at the higher level. Yep but I really do get the feeling we will never see him in a Reading shirt again. I fear you're right. Although there's a not tiny chance we could get relegated and lose one or both of Baldock and Bod. Nova might also prove too good for us at that point...

Re: Club developed players

In mid August after the success of the World Cup there was stuff going around that the EFL are/were considering proposals for matchday 18s to have a minimum of 14 home grown players and 7 club developed in the 18 by 2023. 5 years to phase in if approved - would be looking for EPL to go alongside too...

How hard is it to spell Ilori? I-L-O-R-I Not Lori, not Illori. Do you intentionally do this? You seem the type to him Thiago as well. it's not hard to learn the players. Also, get "Ezi" out of your spellcheck immediately. It's Ezatolahi. Ilori was a typo and auto-correct. As for Ez...

Re: Danny Loader

If I was PC I'd be looking to offer him a new 2/3 year deal now. Presumably the club have sat down with him and told him where he is currently with regard to the first team and what he needs to do get the opportunities. If he takes that on board and makes inroads to those requirements he'll have a ...

That'll be Medford-Smith

Re: Danny Loader

One year left on his contract and not happy here by some accounts. Believes he should be playing. Won't be shocked to see him leave. Would be annoyed to, mind. Deserved a chance. McNulty made sense, but we didn't need both him and Baldock, should have had Novakovich and Loader for the fringe / bench.

Re: Clement

Oh I'd never play Gunter again if I thought I had a viable alternative. But with Blackett injured and McShane done, there's not a lot of choice for a third centre back, and if you're going to play wing backs you need three centre backs Wasn't that why we signed O'Shea? We also have McIntyre and u23...

At least we seemed to have a plan, an approach (even if people didn't like it) that filtered through the squad, a plan for academy players and chances.

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Dara is a oxf*rd horrendous woman, really pleased she is going. She's always seemed perfectly pleasant to me. One of her former staff said to me just yesterday that she's "an absolute joy to work with, one of the loveliest and most level headed leaders you could meet". Must be that you ma...

This is definitely possible, you don't "lose" your Director, your International Recruitment guy, your Marketing Team (all of them I believe), your Academy Manager - plus numerous coaches etc by accident. Worth noting our Interim COO, Steven Falk, was Marketing Director at Manchester Unite...

F u ck Bolton Wanderers. If any club can't sort it's own finances then they deserve everything they get, regardless of the manager. I can't believe you two - you are not supporters. Please fold your accounts. Nailed. '95 still lives long in the memory. Parky or not, they deserve everything coming t...

Re: Tevreden Out, Nani In

Wouldn’t be massively suprised to see him back at Reading as CEO one day. Owners obvs like him and maybe Roselare is experience for Gourlay’s replacement when the time comes Owners obviously want him to see out his contract and then say goodbye more like it. Nice guy or not, he’s been no masterstro...
